I think this should interest all gamers with a budget! After reading this it made me regret ordering my LG W2361V-PF which im getting today :cry:

The 950 Series

The 750 Series

Just a few days before they were presented at CES 2011, we had seen the new Samsung 3D monitors with this new innovating design, but we didn't know about their features. These new monitors come in 2 sizes of 23” and 27” all of which use the new 3D technology of Samsung, with the special wireless glasses and the internal 3D transmitter found in the screen.

Here's some more specific features of these monitors:

Models: S23A750D (23”), S27A750D (27”), S23A950D (23”), S27A950D (27”)

* Convert 2D-in-3D for S950 models
* Touch of Color technology for S750 models

HDTV models: T23A750 (23”), T27A750 (27”), T23A950 (23”), T27A950 (27”)

* WLED backlit screen with resolution of 1920 x 1080
* Responce Time: 5ms

Hopefully the new samsung monitors will be in a whole new league to their rivals monitors such as the ACER GD450HQ, Asus VG236, LG W2363D and the infamous Alienware AW2310 3D monitors!

A minor concern to all ATI graphics card holders will be that they will have to wait a little for compatibility issues with the 3D since Nvidia is the only one to release 3D glasses!

A temporary solution will be to use this software:

I like Samsung....had a 22inch Sammy that treated me very well.....but this one....no tilt....no swivel....no height adjustments.....and pricey I bet.....they can keep this one.

Thanks for the mini review with links though. :)

I'll pass. I don't care about 3D, I prefer 1920x1200, and like Raptor said no tilt, swivel, height adjustments.

yea, a 120hz monitor is good, but its at the trade of what other's already said is missing.

I'll pass. I don't care about 3D, I prefer 1920x1200, and like Raptor said no tilt, swivel, height adjustments.

A great and respectable implementation would have had all the above mentioned plus 120hz.

Indeed the monitors are 120Hz capable! Sorry i forgot to mention above. Also these monitors make use of Samsung’s ‘Ultra Clear Panel’ technology used on some of their TVs that is supposed to bring the contrast advantages of a glossy display whilst retaining a retaining some degree of anti-glare capability. Personally for 4 years now i haven't adjusted my screen's height or ever moved it! If you are gonna be gaming you won't be any further than 1 m away!
You might want to check this article as well for the extra features!

What i don't like with newer monitors is that hardly any has a wall mount holes (VESA) like LCD TV's have. I have my current Samsung LCD monitor mounted on wall and there is just no way i'll be going back to any kind of desk stand.

After ditching my wall mount ages ago I'd never go back. Perhaps it depends on your wall/desk.

They look like something dreamed up by Apple and have no tilt and swivel, like others have said. More form over function, so not something that would excite us hardcore techies that inhabit the TPU universe.

And all Samsung monitors have the power LED flash while in standby, which is so annoying that I don't buy them for this reason alone.

Only negative ones. Still want them?

I do! :D
