May I ask the purpose of this build?

If you're going with a motherboard of this caliber, save some cash on the thuban and get a BE with a lower clock, then OC it. I'd go for this one.
With the money you would save on the processor I mentioned + $20, you could add it to your graphics cards and instead of a HD 6870 CrossfireX setup, you could get a HD 6950 CrossfireX. But that's really up to you to decide.
I won't give any opinions on the chassis, I don't know that brand and it's always a matter of taste.
The cooler, RAM, DVD writer and HDD are fine.
I don't know about the SSD, don't much about them.

But somebody in the forum, that is more conformable with these, will enlighten you better.
That PSU is good, but I whould also consider a XFX Core Edition PRO850W because it had a very good score at jonnyGURU's (it has Seasonic insides, same as the TX850 V2), or a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 760W (PC Power is also a very good brand). Or you could just go for Seasonic's own PSU, which ends up being cheaper.

Using it for Gamming, and some crunching/folding.
I am going to look at changing that psu, but as for the gpu I am maxed out on what I can spend and my monitor is ASUS VH238H Black 23" Full HD HDMI LED Backlight L...

ditch the MSI it is not that great of a mobo. google MSI blown mosfets and that board pops up all over.

I had no idea that board had bad MOSFETs. Specs-wise seemed right, though.

Go for what cdawall suggested on the motherboards. They're good too.
But now I ask, for roughly the same price, why not the Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5? (I get the objective to pull a HD 6950 CFX, but even with this board, the money saved on the CPU+mobo could still be enough for the cards)
Won't get into the PSUs, I haven't got any experience with those brands. And I'm sorry, I didn't notice that Sapphire. I assumed those cards were more expensive in the US market ($250 upwards), didn't look down the list.

not a huge GB fan i am running there mini ITX H55 solely because there is no asus counterpart. GB has a better record but there boards still blow mosfets. i have personally popped an asus board but that was my own fault doing things i should not have. they have OCP that seems to keep the mosfets from popping something that sucks on the GB and MSI boards.

for PSU's i am only suggesting what i know is good and silverstone has always been good to me but so has Thermaltake and we know some of the units they have pushed out...

Understood. Then I'll vote for ASRock. It's a solid performer and a good choice. Might not have the WOW features or the bling, but still does the job.

EDIT: By WOW features I mean those extra features built-in to the BIOS or LED indicators, etc (some do have them, but for everything) and by bling I mean lots of accessories and eye-candy.

i prefer biostar and so do a good bunch of the AMD 7ghz folks its a good board with alot of the same bling features you would find on a ROG board. the only downside is it is not the best HTT clocker doubtful anyone would see over 360HTT stable on it. the asrock is a good clocker but the biostar is better.

That Corsair is onsale on Mwave atm for $95! I would also say to go for 1 6950 vs the dual 6870's. Either way, you are lucky!

its up to you however Asrock is a division of Asus and the deluxe 4 is pretty much the same as an asus.

I sold the q6600 rig. I just moved.
I am getting 2x 6950's It will put me a little over but WTF!...lol
Just have to deside on psu and motherboard

I went with the 2 6950's and the Asus board. Put me over about $150 but with rebates its a wash. Should be able to start building this weekend.
