Use that link and let us know what kind of #'s it puts out for you. It's not perfect, but it gives you a good ballpark.

Also, if you have any upgrade plans (within the next couple of years), also add those in and give us that number.

If you want minimum cost, that system only needs a 500W PSU or so. But if you have some more money, a better PSU means more upgrade and overclocking capability.

good choice little more power than you need but leaves room if you end up upgrading something

also why are you getting a USB3 card the board has the exact sameUSB3 controller on the mobo same for the Sata II controller the board has 8 sata II ports on it and you only got 1 HDD?

there is 3 HDD and the usb3.0 card is there because the black magic intensity shuttle capture card does not work with an on board p55 motherboard for whatever reason.

Why the SATA card, still? Your motherboard can run 3 hard disks just fine.

The PCIe card will be faster? Your hard drives should be the speed limiter. The motherboard ports are SATA/300, which is more than enough for 233.28.
Idk, just curious...

well the sata II card you linked still wont get the HDD you posted to push 200mb/s you wont get that without raid 0 or an SSD both of which will still work on the onboard which IS sata II 3Gb/s just like the card you linked

Okay, but you can still do that with the motherboard RAID controller. It comes with one built in.

raid 0 works perfectly fine on P55 infact the cheap raid card will probably do worse not better

also hope you have some sort of huge drive to put video on because 1080P uncompressed video is going to fill that in less than an hour

The low power drives that like to park their heads don't like to be in a raid array. Most controllers don't care for it too much.
