Oh dude you cant return the broken one? Well If you are getting another one, I would say go for XFX I have two XFX 6950's with unlocked shaders, OC'd to 6970 clocks and I love them, plus XFX has great warranty.

There is a lot of risk flashing ROMS/BIOS. If you are not smart enough to know its only for reference cards or even to ask a question before doing it then you deserve a dead card.

With that being said you should always backup your ROM/BIOS before you flash it to something new. You will always be able to blind flash it back. Have you tried this yet?

I agree , yet the OP seems hell bent on flashing any and all cards . I think you need a bigger bank account if you continue doing this . IMHO sending back your dead card after you f'ed it up is just not right ! You are trying to get a new one or yours fixed under the pretense that it is messed up and you had nothing to do with that , That is against the facts and the warranty . Good luck I hope you get it shorted out , But I am done with this thread .

I think you miss understand me . I am in no way pissed off . I could care less . This is also a place for advice and since you do no want any I am done here . I have been here far longer than you have and I have done my share of messing up , When told NOT to do some thing I generally take this advice to heart lest I end up with dead equipment . Now on to the RMA after YOU fried YOUR card , Yes it is WRONG you are not do any one any good doing this . I could go on about it but in the end all you are really doing in costing us more cash in the end . ( Well at least this is what I have been told when I was doing the same thing you are now , I ended up not doing it and buying new , I felt it would be wrong and it was ) . Any way bro. take care good luck .

ok dude...im understand...but my sight on it is the following.....the computer industrie is kidding us....the wafers r so good that an 8 or 10 cpu with much more than 5 gh is always on the road...they hold it back only to get more money....u buy one chip and 7 days later....OH WHAT A WONDER........a new chip generation is born...bullshit......they take much more money from us than its worth it.........because of that i am pissed of .....

ok, u r longer on this forum than i...but i had a the second greatest german hardware homepage in the 90´s .....amd and intel invited me to new product presentation and i got beta versions and so on....i am not a newbie or a dau...i designed my own water cooling systems for amd, which was unbeaten.........ok, the last 5 years i had massive private problems, so i had no tim, interesst in computers...but now its back..

I dont know what it is lately with new members that come to the forums asking for our help and when we give it to them they are so hell bent on not taking that advice and doing it their own way anyway. Its like they are looking for pity and want to be told that they did something the right way.

Either RMA the card or buy a new one. We dont care if you had the second greatest german hardware homepage in the 90's or anything that you said in your last post. Your prior achievements mean nothing about flashing this video card. You flashed a non reference 6950 and you borked it. Again, RMA it or buy a new one. Better yet, just buy the 6970 and save yourself time and money.

Harsh but true.
