so according to an e-mail i got from bioware, swtor is going to let you pre-register guilds before the game comes out.

Here is some FAQ on Gamespot's website. Look at FAQ 2. So technically spring is the earliest but pretty doubtful. XD

And here is an interview saying that they are rapping things up.

I am going to play it regardless. I have a good friend who tested it the 1st weekend and loved it (I know lots of things change from early to release builds). A) I’m a huge Star Wars nerd (B) I’ve been waiting for this game for almost 5 years now (C) It’s the 1st in a long time to add aa type of mechanic (cover system) to a class that I’ve wanted thought another MMO should have had and (D) regardless if the PvP is shitbox and clunky, I am almost certain I will grind out 1-4 chars just for story which is something I have not done in an MMO ever haha.
