Some Physx games require an specific version of the Physx package to run, not the latest; try and run Metro on your Nvidia card but use the Physx version that was released when the game was launched: http://downloads.guru3d.com/nVIDIA-P...load-2490.html

Hi Stinger608, as you get problems with AMD and Nvidia could it be a problem with directX before i sorted my Call of Duty I was getting the message

DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error, check the readme for possible solutions.

I did update the DirectX runtime.

That's the think Cookie, I am not having any issues with the Nvidia cards at all, just the AMD drivers will not install. After doing a complete cleaning of all video drivers and registry entries, I installed my GTX460 Nvidia and installed the drivers without issue at all.

Definitely sounds like it's time to install Windows from scratch on another HD and see how it goes. There's no way round it sometimes.

Yea I think your right man. I am in the process of backing up some important folders and programs, and plan on doing just that It will probably run a lot faster anyhow.
