I believe W1zz deliberately disabled (well, changed the tag for) the embedded vid thing a while back, probably due to people abusing it. Careful, spam with it and he'll probably stop us using it here altogether...

Im gonna pick up some
for this and im sure that i will be ANYWAY... after many many years of being part of TPU....I for one would like a layout change. I know that a few people have asked for the same thing already. I know that to re-do the whole layout would take some serious time and effort. but if not a complete layout change then how about new layout templates that users can change for themselves in the CP instead of having to look at this dreary blue'ish forum layout. ![]() Im ready to take your bitchin' like a boss

I agree. I think a configurable UI would be very welcome. Also, full wysiwyg editing, supported by the latest vbulletin, is long overdue. I've posted on other forums that have this and it's a breath of fresh air.

from what I can tell each skin used as an option costs $25 per skin, per year! So lets say there are 4-8 options, thats $200 spent to make you happy per year
Maybe talk to W1zzard in PMs about raising money, taking votes on which ones are most wanted, and see if he would incorporate them then???? Not even saying he will go for it, but that seems a logical plan of attack http://www.vbstyles.com/

Nah, I don't think W1zz should pay for this. What a rippoff. Thanks for the info, Sneeky.I reckon a move to free forum software or one with much less restrictive licensing would be much better than paying for extras like this. Perhaps the XenForo spinoff is a good idea?

No problem qubit, I just went and peeked to see if there were obvious hangups. If it didn't cause any other issues on the server along the way, I could see maybe a dark option, but even then you would have to agree on red, green, or blue trim
As far as other options, IDK, I am code retarded man. I don't have a clue what else may work with Vbulletin

Id say go for the dark option. black/red or something like that.
but i would like some feedback from W1zzard on the matter.

If you want black/red, go to [H]. I'm down for a facelift on the forums or a few configurable styles, but I definitely think we should hold donations for it so W1zz isn't spending anything out of his pocket.

![]() Why should someone have to keep paying over and over for a mere skin? Once it's designed, it gets no further development or maintenance. Charge for it once maybe, but not over and over, that's a rippoff. Hence, I say boycott these skins and perhaps vbulletin too (depending on how much pain it would cause to migrate the database to another product, which is usually considerable and may not preserve all features). btw the current skin is very easy on the eyes for me.

Just some info...
vBulletin Skins and Styles Some are free(quality my vary), some you pay for(depends on who you get them from; what interval or how much you pay), or you can design them yourself. vBulletin Forum: vBulletin Skins & Styles - 3.8.x vBulletin FAQ Navigation

I would be against going to something other than Vbulletin. As expensive as it may be, it would make it extremely difficult to post FS threads on multiple sites, and having to use different coding would be a giant pain. If I hadn't sold so many things over at EVGA, I wouldn't post there because they're not on Vbulletin.

![]() Yeah, it's up to version 4.something now. W1zzard's got the licence, but he posted some time back that he's not especially keen to move over to it. I forget the exact reasons he gave, but it was something about the visual style being different and the functionality, I think that he wasn't keen on. Personally, I like the look of version 4. Check it out here to see the default look: www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum.php W1zz, if you wanna clarify, you'd be most welcome.

I actually don't see any real benefit with that particular style apart of course from the fact that it's different and some really just want different, although once you have had "different" for a while...... it becomes the same
