Another Water Cooling Question

Here's my part list for my system, should be getting my FrozenCPU stuff tomorrow. (Can't believe I ordered from them and EK on the same day and the EK package is going to beat FedEx here.)

Parts:

Swiftech Apogee XT Rev. 2 CPU Block
EK FC Bridge Dual Parallel - 3-Slot - SLI Connection
2x EK FC Link GeForce - SLI Connection
2x EK EK-FC580 GTX - Acetal+Nickel GPU Blocks
EK-BAY SPIN Reservoir - Acetal
Swiftech MCP-655 Pump
Swiftech MRC320 Triple Radiator
Swiftech MRC120 Single Radiator
Feser One Fluid

I think I did pretty good, just wanting to get some thoughts.

Also, should I clean all the new parts before putting them to use? I have read that using boiling tap water is good.

Yeah, I always pull my blocks apart, and clean them. I have found sometimes that EK blovks still ahve water in them from leak testing, and I think this might be a source of algae infestation.

the problem with bioling water is that it may affect rubber seals...it should be OK, but ya know. So I use hot water, but not boiling.

Watercooling loops, if there is air, and warmth, are ideal environs for algae and bacteria. All that said, I use tap water, not even distilled, in my loops, so maybe my opinion is useless.

Bioling? Is that a brand name or something?

better clean if first so you know if theres any err on that before you install it. checking if first so it would reduce any chance of leaking that may happen

If I was you I wouldn't use EK items with nickel plating as their's problems with them atm

That is the first time I've heard that, I'd be leery too of damaging plastic parts with 100c water. Personally, I'd take apart and clean with cloth and possibly alcohol.

Bummer about the nickle plating "issue"... wonder what remedy they'll suggest.

I would go with a single quad Rad. Trust me from some one who has tried doing two rads like you are attempting with one pump like that. Even the mighty 655 will struggle a little. Plus you won't get better temps if you are thinking about positioning one between the heat baring components. Trust me again I tried it with my two GTX 580's and my i7 2600k. Actually I got worse temps doing it that way.
Trust me go with a 480 rad... it will make things more compact and cheaper in the longer run. As well as probably some better temps. Something like the EK 480 Thick Rad. JMO

I already have all the pieces. I read on EK that the nickel plating issues were due to the additives that some users were putting in their fluid. I will not be adding anything to my fluid due to Feser One stating that you shouldn't put anything in their fluids.

I will run a cycle of warm tap water through the system to clean it. I do think that boiling water is a bit excessive. I got all my parts from EK and the all look good to go. I will post pictures when it is done for all to see.
