try out Freemake Video Converter it's free and the newest beta also support DIVA for ATi/AMD Graphic card conversion and ofc it's support PhysX aswell ^^

Freemake speeds up video conversion with DXVA technology

i use it, and it's pretty easy and does a fine job, and i like their Video Downloader aswell ^^

I second the notion. Hanbrake is fast for a CPU based encoder, and the iPhone/iPod/mobile settings have yet to go wrong.

The amd video convertor should be pretty fast on your GPU. i know it is about twice as fast as any cpu coding programs i have used on my system. It should be the same for you as you have a fairly low speed core 2.

The only problem is you can;t (as far as i can tell) queue any jobs

Edit - If that freemake program also supports encoding via the video card, that should be pretty fast too. Defiantly go for a program that encodes using the GPU if you want speed.

ha, i'd not looked at the quality of the encodings, i generally don't use it due to not being able to queue.

Best thing to do is get a few programs and convert a single video file on each. See which you (OP) like best.

Alternatively you could just get the AVPlayer app for the iPhone & iPod Touch, then you don't have to convert anything, just load whatever video file you have and play it!
