Sharkoon Announces T5 Value ATX Mid-Tower Case

Sharkoon expands their range of ATX cases and complements the T-Series presented in March: The Sharkoon T5 Value is equipped - in contrast to the already available Sharkoon T5 Economy - with a front USB3.0, two pre-mounted 120mm LED fans and an acrylic window on the side panel. The black interior lacquer sets a stylish scene with the installed hardware.

The other functions are identical to the Economy Edition: The black case offers five installation bays for 5.25 inch drives behind its mesh front panel, plus additional space for five 3.5 inch drives and seven extension cards. With help from a special mounting frame, SSDs in 2.5 or 3.5 inch formats, or a 2.5 inch hard drive in a hard drive cage can be also attached. The optical drives and the hard drives are installed through the quick-locking mount, behind the main board mounting plate a cavity is provided for the mounting of a CPU cooler and the orderly installation of cables.



The power pack sits over the air intake on the case's floor, the case feet ensures necessary space for air circulation. The case cools through two front and rear side 120mm pre-installed fans with blue LEDs and a 3/4 pin connection. Water cooling enthusiasts will find on the backside two rubber-protected hose feedthroughs. The front panel readily offers a USB3.0 port as well as three USB2.0 ports and an audio jack. The Sharkoon T5 measures 475 x 200 x 440mm (L x W x H) and weighs 6 kg. The case allows the installation of graphic cards and power packs up to 27 cm in length and CPU coolers up to 15 cm in height

Besides both T5 cases, all models in the Sharkoon T-Series include nine 5.25" installation bays: The Sharkoon T9 Value with acrylic window, colorful lacquered main board mount and three 120mm LED fans is available in four colors. The lower priced Sharkoon T9 Economy in black does not include the acrylic window or pre-installed fans.

The Sharkoon T5 Value is immediately available to end customers for the suggested retail price of 54.90 euros from authorized retailers.

Looks like a pretty good budget-case. Has everything a case should have, all-black, cable management, CPU-cutout, window etc. Hope it'll be nice and cheap.

Looks like a good value to me and it's not terribly ugly either. Fairly simple looking, although I'd prefer even simpler given the choice, but like I said, it's not ugly.

looks very clean and not much plastic-thingy,
but the downside is, this case got no option for cooling top and bottom
2 or 3 fan for cooling sometimes does not enough to suffice air circulation

also this case is more expensive than shinobi,
which is i think it still the best case for this price range (although it got no USB 3.0 port)

meh, I don't mind cutting a few holes in a fairly cheap case

Just leave the side panel off.

some people get stressed when they know that dust had accumulated inside their rig..

front, rear, side, bottom, and up. if i can put any hole without problem for putting optional fan together with dust filter, then its fine

Its a budget case after all, and you are not supposed to complain much when you get a budget case

yes, i know this is a budget case.
so forget about my complaint for the price,

but my critics is not much..
i'm just think it will be good if they create more spots for putting another fan
since there are some case which is cheaper and had got more better cooling option
like the case from bitfenix that i already mentioned.

I'm somewhat of the estimation being herald by the crowd, “looks” like a great budget case, but two Big things are unforgivable standouts!

A) the PSU filter on the bottom is way too undersized, looks like you need to tip the case up to get it on and off. While heck the picture I'm seeing (manual of the economy model) it doesn’t look like its' any "filter" more just a open plastic grate. I guess it won't stop anything so you'll never need to clean it anyway.

B) The front I/O is attach to the Bezel, and while it has those little white connectors those are still a pain. The better way is all the connections stay fastened to the case and the bezel snaps over them. Sure the openings/fit are something a little enlarged, but I'd rather have that then wires and miniature connection to unplug.

As to a top mount fan I'd rather it not have one, most budget/mainstream gaming system don't need it. and I don't like the idea that a staple or something gets in though that a shorts-out the mobo.

If I want one I pull out the air nibbler and a wood template and zip one out, but them normally fashion a backward hood scoop to keep stuff from just dropping in.

Replace the fan in the front (or disable the led) and it's not too shabby, even if I'm not a fan of the window.

looks pretty nice 90 degrees hdd, tool free
cable management feature and others that can be found on mid to high end chassis
yeah maybe the front bezel is kinda not pretty attractive but thats fine since its a budget case but any way overall its kinda nice case
