This is a good PSU
Just wanted to share something. Where I live unfortunately short unexpected power cuts are frequent. Even more annoying are the short bursts of low current where the light bulbs blink and the electronic equipments are affected. Had a few today, the refrigerator returned some errors on the display, the amplifier restarted from stand-by but my main machine, powered by a Corsair TX650 was immune, solid as rock. The second rig is powered by a PSU branded PowerLine. That system promptly failed and restarted.

Id suggest getting a cheap UPS to 'buff' the unstable power. If the power does go down then at least the other rig will run for a bit before it goes down, 15-30mins is plenty of time for you to shutdown, depending on what the other machines specs are.

Well I moved some time ago in the countryside and that's Romania. The situation is not as bad as one might imagine. I just wanted to stress out that a good PSU is mandatory in any circumstances and no-one should cheap out on that particular piece of hardware.

Unfortunately the general public do cheap out on the power supply first.
Or just get a case which comes with one and regardless of the power requirements for the rest of the system, they use it. Many PC sellers will most happily give their customer a system with a cheapo Hyena or something to that extent. |

i have the same situation, unexpected power cuts. My PSU has protected my system for 2+ yrs (touch wood) where i've had lots of other electronic devices fail
![]() I really should get a UPS as an additional buffer, but they are damn pricey.
