Best laptop for 1300$ for Bioinformatics

I need a laptop basically a quad core with nVidia GPU as their CUDA cores are very useful in computing power. Budget 1300$. Should i go with Alienware M14x or are their other laptops available below that price range.

have you considered that a 9 pound notebook won't be fun to carry around, and battery life on those high powered systems is probably like half an hour when running cpu/gpu computation ?
