Corsair H80 now available!?

Not sure if this is a listing error, but Scan computers has the H80 in stock already... seems to be the first shop in UK with them:

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsa...6-2011-am2-am3

I've been keeping my eyes on the scan listings as im keen on the H100 myself

They have been listed at Corsair as well. I just put in another email to see what the skinny is on the release.

Yeah as far as I was aware, the new AIO coolers aren't ready, but that was a couple weeks ago I heard last. Not really sure if that is a pre-order, or if I missed the bus and they actually are in stock?!?!?

on the Scan stores site, its in stock and will be delivered next day... whereas their listing for the H100 is still "pre-order"... weird

It's been on newegg for days. I can only see people without side windows buying this thing... I mean the face of that block is so hideous. That plastic mess compared to the chrome lettering on the H50/70. I hate thoughtlessly bad designs like that. The chrome lettering was simplistic, clean, and reflected whatever case lighting you had. It was the perfect inexpensive solution, this is not. This is pure shit.

I am not picky about its appearance but is it just me or is $120 and above for a cooler in custom loop territory? All In One units need to stay sub $100 in cost or custom just mops the floor with it on value.

since when has corsair not price gouged? Everything with a corsair name demands $20+ than the same exact thing under another name

so order it direct then! Everyone is going to scalp people where they can, early adopter suffer. As you have seen with the H50...it released for what $79-89, then as soon as the next one came along it was $40-50. Welcome to marketing 101

Is your discounted direct from them pricing include shipping? I see newegg is getting almost $130 to your door for that H80, it only takes them to pop you $20 for shipping to even the playing field

Pump Res combo: ~$60
120mm Radiator: ~$35
CPU Block: ~$40
Tubing and Fittings: ~$20

Yeah, its close, but I don't think you could pull of a custom loop for $120, and probably definitely not with a 2x120mm rad.

Edit: The closest I could find was on FrozenCPU. They have a custom loop kit for $130.

Shipping from Corsair is $9.25 UPS Ground, at least that is the price their site quoted to ship an H80 to me.

where the hell are the reviews on this?
Bizarre its been out for a while now and you'd think that Corsair would be sending it out to reviewers to sell some units

I built one loop with only $60 cost to me back in the LGA775 days. The biggest cost was the waterblock and i did use all used parts. Got the tygon and AN fittings for free and used antifreeze as the coolant(not 50/50 ofcourse). Still ended up getting algae a year and a half later since it wasn't a fully closed loop free of bacteria.

I am not really sure what performance the Corsair offers on there newer all-in-ones but they are nice and compact kits that are much more space efficient than using heater cores and the like. I don't think I could build one smaller that would offer much better performance. That is what I think is the strong suit of these corsair kits. That is why I have two H50's.

Yeah, buying used, but people that are looking at these Corsair kits barely want to buy new watercooling, forget about taking a "chance" with used parts.

All of them seem not to care except the first guy.

I'm also an Asian but no offense, those on the video really do not even mind to thank Linus or NCIX for their prizes. If I was the one who won the H80 i would definitely do this:

IMO. this is potentially the same as the Antec Kuhler 920 except the Antec has a circular mounting block instead of a square one.

Be interesting to see if one coolers better then the other.
