No way man. I joke alot but I always treat everyone with respect unless they are being an impossible prick. Then I just troll them to death (Which I am trying to stop lol)

So no someone like me wouldn't go around like an ass and change things to be inappropriate. I like TPU way to much for that.

I actually think you would be good for this role.

I am probably the only person on TPU who feels this way, and I will probably get crucified for this comment, but I think TMM would make a very good moderator.

Are you talking about a full-on mod, or just title mod? I think he'd be alright, too, in either role.

Me being a mod. I also think that MM would make a decent mod, like Kreij does.

i spend 14 hours a day on TPU sometimes, due to having it as my homepage of not only my PC but my mobile phone, however i don't think i could be a full time mod, as at the end of the day i wouldn't want to hand out a ban to anyone

i've always wanted to help out TPU in other ways though, so if an offer came along for some sort of job that didn't involve banning people etc on the forums i'd be their at an instant, perhaps just doing general maintenance on the forums, maybe something like a Title Mod even, due to how much time i would put in

If you want to be a mod, you're delusional.
If you are willing to be a mod but are not sure, you are more realistic.
If you absolutely don't want to be a mod, you are most likely more sane than the rest of us.

I guess it's more accurate to say that I'm 'willing to', because I don't know how it will turn out.

That's pretty much how I see it. I wouldn't want to bear the brunt of the attacks from members. No-one's immune to it; even W1zz got offended by how some members can be (April Fool's last year). I don't think I could bite my tongue when it comes to certain people, and I don't know how you lot manage it

FTR: I wouldn't want to be a mod. I see how some of them get treated

Ya know, I keep toying with the idea of starting my own forum with really permissive rules. It would be kinda like GN, but on steroids. Some examples:

The hot girl thread. You would certainly be able to post full nudity in my version of it. Heck, I'd expect it.

Wanna post porn? Talk about it? Go right ahead. Anything reasonably mainstream would be ok.

I would encourage people to be civil, but if someone's being a real dick about something and you want to "personally attack" them, go right ahead! You would be expected to have a thick skin on my forum.

Wanna swear? That's alright too.

The forum rules would be more like guidelines than hard and fast rules. Only extremes like talk of murder, certain kinds of porn, stuff that could get the forum in legal bother etc would be prohibited.

And of course, I would be administrator. I would allow most things and would have the final say if I thought someone was going over the line. You could have a full-on flamewar with me, but would have to bear in mind that I could easily infract or ban my opponent if I felt they were too much of a duchebag.

You have no idea if you've never been a mod on a forum.
This is going off-topic from the title mod OP, but I think it's good for people to ask questions about being a mod and what it's like.

Being a mod can be summed up in two words ... Internet Babysitting.
I don't mean to offend anyone as the members here on TPU are better than almost every other forum I've been a member on or have lurked on.

We have to deal with every kind of personality (and personality disorder) all the time.
It's no big deal, but you have to have the right attitude to maintain your sanity when things go south.

If you want to experience a physical manifestation of internet moderating, try herding cats.

Neither. Quote button screw up or something. That's odd.
I highlighted the text and did the auto-quote button thing. Maybe the forum felt it was better attributed to you.
