Just thought i would update you.

Well TT did get back in touch with me about the issue and it's the actual back plate that is interchangeable to make it a BTX case.

They asked me to take the plate of ( WOW that was fun to do ) and bent it back in place. I had a closer look what they were on about and noticed a gap in the spray painting of the case were the back panel used to be and clearly showed that it's bent more over time.

However after taking it off and bending it back it still was some what off and screwing the stuff back in the case is re bending it again so only a temp fix as it's just going back out of line again.

are you referring to the complete motherboard tray? if you dont mind which part did you bend?

Only TT product I am using at the moment is an old Smart fan which I replaced my Tuniq Tower's manual fan controlled fan with since you can detach the fan controller from the fan itself unlike the Tuniq Tower.

Is TT still releasing the smart fans?

It's the rear part. I got a reply of them again about it but it sound hard luck your out of luck, here's the reply. I guess shops like Newegg were selling your cases way past when they were discontinued.

We do not have this part for sale and the chassis has been discontinued for over 6 years. We have no parts to send a replacement for this case as we no longer have these parts at all.

However if you find a BTX back with tray hanging around any were i'd buy that just in case i need one one day haha :P.

theyre a lil harder to come by plus you would need the other btx plate as well... and ummmm liek teh tech support told you.... those are beyond scarce now days

It's always nice for companies to stand behind their products in this way.

<RANT> The Tech Support/contact systems of most corporations can be poor at times, even from the very best companies with the very best reputations, and having someone to help out even just answering questions that the tech support guys tend to ignore (my personal pet peeve - if I asked a question related to my problem, address it. Even just to say that policy doesn't allow you to discuss it, or it's outside the realm of the department, or whatever. I don't care if it was the stupidest question the tech ever heard, or if he doesn't know. I don't know is a perfectly acceptable answer.). Having the ability to talk to someone who isn't strictly Tech support and isn't strictly sales goes a very, very long way to goodwill with the customers in my book.</RANT>

That said, in my limited experience with Tt I've never had to deal with your guys' tech support system at all, so you must be doing something right

Well im here not as tech support or marketing tbh. Im an enthusiast just like you guys that works for Thermaltake and im trying to help bring us to the front with you guys. I want you guys to give us your feedback so that we can make products you want. knowone knows what you want better than you right?

We make good products now its just a matter of getting them the way you want them or even making you aware of what we do offer and what will fit you.

Also I personally feel that knowone really supports the enthusiasts forums so im happy to bring a level of support that is in your own home forum so that we come to help you. you dont necessarily need to find us. unless of course im not online which then your gonna have to wait

I owned a Tt notebook cooler and a pair of 80mm Smart Fans II, making my experience with Tt products limited, but positive. I liked the Smart fans (both still work ). The notebook cooler (small one, can't remember the model, I don't have it anymore) was a cheap, plastic band-aid for a laptop, bit it did it's job with no issues. It seems, though, Thermaltake has given up a little on the DC fan department. If you ask me, I would love to see a high R.P.M fan again (most enthusiasts don't give a damn about noise) and a few PWM models, with your usual cunning innovations if possible.
Also, I was/am a fan of the Xaser II and III, those were some awesome chassis for the time. Here (in Portugal), Tt's most abundant products are the chassis, CPU coolers, PSUs (although those a rare in my area) and WC parts. The rest is too scattered trough the country and in low stock.
Another thing, MOAR front panel fan controllers, plzkthxbai!

The flap for the usb ports ontop of my Soprano Case has snapped, I emailed support several times but never got a reply. I had the same problem when trying to purchase a new side window, but gave up in the end as I couldn;t get a straight answer. Admittedly that was a year or so ago tho.

That wouldnt be too difficult but with the higher TDP of todays higher end cards it would likely require an aftermarket cooler being triple slot just to be affective.

I should have said RPM modulated off the temperature of coolant or ambient.

That could be accomplished but would require a source signal.... so either an inline temp probe fitting, or a simple thermal diode connection which varying temperature would throttle the fan.
