he needs to just revert to stock, undervolt the cpu 1 notch example if stock volts are 1.4 drop it to 1.35 if its 1.35 drop it to 1.3 whatever the stock voltage is drop it by .05volts it should drop the 140w cpu hes using down to 125w range, Id also suggest dropping ram down to 800mhz and dropping it by .1 volts so if its 2v drop it to 1.9v etc,

doing that should lower the strain on the VRM's not a whole lot but enough to improve the in game performance

from what i could dig up stock voltage is 1.25 to 1.3v find out what it is for sure with CPU-Z

if the voltage is 1.3v drop it to 1.25 if its 1.25 drop it to 1.2 and then test stability,

i can vouch for AMD side if overclocking hurting Bad Company 2's performance, i delt with it for months causing problems left and right, after replacing a failing PSU, i dropped my clocks upped my voltages and it stabilized but overall yea its just damn picky about Overclocks,

even now i still get performance drops when first joining a server after a few minutes it stabilizes and the problem disappear.

I think i just read that he put it back to stock and everything is fine. so it seems the issue is resolved, it was the overclock.

LOL, even the 9850 would runs like a E8500, so if a E8500 can run the game, why not is CPU?

This is just a general question from me, I can run Bad Company 2 without any lag, it runs well. I can play everything on High. But when i check task manager, the game is using between 80-95 % of the CPU. Is Bad Company 2 very CPU intensive?
if this guy can, his system can,

So, I know what I'm talking about!

Edit: By the way, his motherboard fully support his CPU which is a 125w.. Only the 9950 has 140w (one version of that CPU is 125w also). He sais he have the 9850, which is a 125w only, so it should be working fine.. Except if alot of people is having the same problem with that motherboard, the guy on the link I've just put has a M2N68 , which is a nforce 630a and support AMD 140W CPU,s is using a 9850 on that board.

I'm the only one that argued with you because I underestimated a Phenom 1. My bad, I apologize.

As for AthlonX2, other people made his point long before he joined the thread.

So to give credit where it's due, Mailman, you were the first correct person to enter the thread, and I was the first incorrect.

Let the public lashing commence.
