Nah. not for me....I'll stick with my Q-pad and my Mionix 3200. Looks like a good mouse though...just not big enough. might have problems with accidently triggereing the extra buttons atop the mouse at the wrong time. lol

well that sucks for me. My right hand is handicapped, enough so that it has trouble clicking without pressing both buttons at the same time... Left click is doable but not right click

Most lefties, if they have enough time to train and if they have not been using the mouse in the right hand for a decade or more , play better with the mouse in their left hand

As I said, this mouse is attractive to me. Stuff like jump and crouch and other important buttons are on my mouse for fastest use. I often use 4 finger on my left hand on my mouse

I made that upgrade, though I would only recommend it if you got the G500 on sale. The feel is the similar, but the chunkier scroll wheel and cloth grips might throw you off at first. I love it though, and I still use my mx518 on my secondary rig.

tell you the truth i dont need the sensitivity adjustment for games per-se, MX518 is the 510 with onfly adjustment, but I leave em at 1 setting and use the other buttons with Uberoptions

i never got that, it takes too long to adjust to a speed change. i use default speed at 800dpi and i can adjust to any mouse or any game almost instantly, and maintain my skill.

CoD4 to CoD2 to L4D to BC2 to SCII - instantly applicable with no learning curve, because i dont mess around with speed or DPI settings.

Ive turned mouse acceleration and sensitivitity in all my games either completely off or really really low so when i place my hand on the mouse, i have full control and there are no 'extra' moves or 'predictions' made by mouse smoothing or acceleration.

And i mess around with my DPI settings because i can, and because theres a button right next to my mb1 finger that can instantly switch my DPI up and down. I like to run and gun with a MAC10 at high DPI as it clears the room quicker and i can turn around much quicker then most people can.

Higher DPI>Less hand movement = quicker and faster kills as i dont need to drag the mouse across the pad just to bring the crosshair to bare.

I just look at an enemy and my mind doesnt even need to think about moving the mouse to bring my crosshair to bare and take the shot. It just does it because the controls are so light.

I'm with FreedomEclipse on the DPI control. I've also got a switch right next to my finger as well and while I usually keep it at the same setting, I like to lower it for sniping. Or, if I'm playing audiosurf, then I'll max it out.

its not without its drawbacks though. Ive come to hate default/standard mouse speeds and having a slow mouse at 800DPI frustraits me as i cruise around my desktop at 3000DPI.

on my new netbook. ive got the mouse speed slider turned right up and to me its just barely acceptable.

part of it might be that i have shaky hands, so high DPI/speed really screws with my accuracy. i'm guessing you dont have that problem.

I got shaky hands too - couple that with a cheap mouse and crappy mouse-mat and you get quite good at adapting quickly. I've never used DPI settings but I'm guessing they wouldn't be good in my situation.

It's like giving someone a sniper rifle with a bent barrel and the best scope you can get. Settings and enhancements won't correct bad tools IMO.

well I have a 'palm grip' style the base/heel of my hand is always resting on the mat so i guess its free from shaking.

I dont even need to move the mouse at all literally. just tap it a few milimeters left or right and it does a full 45-90 degree spin in BC2 depending what DPI level im at.

but i dont have shakey hands in general

Like Freedom, I also use the palm grip so my palm resting on the mouse pad helps stability. However, what I find really helps is adding all the weights to the bottom of my G15. I can't stand using a light-weight mouse anymore. And I do have shaky hands, I can't take pics for crap without a tripod.
