Why would you even consider going back to XP? Its old, out of date, has no support for the most recent DirectX platforms, no longer has support, etc. etc. XP is dead and you should just let it go.

And since you goated me into asking questions, why does you rig have 2 PSUs?

Games coded and running in DX10 and DX11 use less RAM due to not having to clone GPU data, so you saving the 400 of RAM space is pointless cause you going to give it up to the game anyway. Also RAM for modern systems is piss cheap and getting 8 GB of DDR3 is only $50 to $120 depending on speed, timing, and brand.

Win7 also scales based on your RAM to ensure smooth performance, the less RAM you have, the lower RAM it uses. It will not be as responsive though so you should give it the 4 or 8 GB it wants anyway.

As for the PSU.... the stuff you got on the 500W is only like 70 or 80 watts of power total. Which means that PSU is well below 70% efficiency. You are literally burning more power from that wall than you need for no benefit what so ever. An extra 150 watts load on your 850 Watt PSU would make no difference in voltage drops, efficiency, or anything since at full load you are barely breaking 400 Watts, if that.

You should sell the 500 Watt and use the money toward a new GPU, second set of RAM, or BD when it comes out.

That corsair is a nice unit and can easily power a pair of gtx560sli's(plus some ccfl's ) if you really wanted to though. Using only the corsair would also free a ton of space up so you can add more lights. The antec can even be sold so you can get more cash for the gpu replacement(s).

Lack of TRIM support is another thing in the long run. I believe there are some programs from ocz and intel that do something similar, but not as good as TRIM

EDIT: I need to learn how to type quicker

i dont need to argue its just how i run it an according to riva tuner an gpuz my video card pulls 60-70amps in a game of the 80 amps my 850wat psu has on 12v

an as far as os goes i dont give a crap wich is better cus im guna run both any way xp for older games an 7 for the new crap that comes out

you think 2 psu.s is bad lmao my xp3000 cpu had its own 5000btu a/c unit got it down to -25c on the core lol im not worried about a few bucks on the hydro bill [the pics of this unit ar still on this site lol]my hole water block was frosted running -40 antifreeze

that's 80W drawn at like 1.1V not 12V, your math is a bit skewed

AFAIK that is not 60-70A @ 12V it's somewhere between VRM and the GPU!
Just use the TX850 it's well enough.

You're better off with the one PSU. I run the same gfx card as you and more volts/watts of equipment than you on a 620W Corsair and never have issues. No power dips or anything.

So let me get this straight. You went AMD, XP with an SSD? I'm thinkin you should have posted here BEFORE you bought all that.

Edit: Didnt you take a belt sander to your last CPU CORE!?

nForce? They didn't gracefully step asside. They got curb stomped by AMD and Intel chipsets and ran with their tails between their legs.

If you bought an 955 recently, then you should have just gotten an 1090T. The price difference is not that much and you would have gotten more cores, better memory I/O (not much), and the same OC headroom.

And holding a grudge against a faceless company is perfectly ok with me. I hate Seagate.

Of course, nVidia no longer makes chipsets, so you're SOL there. Now you cna buy AMD chipsets on boards, chips to go into the board, and GPUs to fill the expansion slots. You should be as happy as a pig in...well..you know how that goes..
