i like ridiculously massive bosses, Serious Sam's ugh zan thing, and Painkiller stuff. God of War 2, enjoyed how the giant bronze apollo statue chased you, stepped on you, and get b*tchslaped in the end haha. Resident Evil 3, the boss (Nemesis) keep chasing you from start to end of the game. Psycho mantis didnt really messed with me since i played the pc version using keyboard hehe.

Like Jizzler said - only one video and that didn't creep me out or give me a sense of atmosphere. It gave me that sense of impatience and anger that you get when you watch a complete noob play a game that you know you can play better.

What a waste of my time.
Pyramid head was a bad mofo, but that wasn't the end boss fight with him, you are just trying to weaken him and get that blade. Silent hill 2 is still the creepyist fucking game that I have ever played. No ammo, bad camera, and fucking terrible controls.

Epic boss battles. Not necessarily hard battles, simply battles that had something that made them memorable (sometimes that was in fact hardness, though). I also might have forgotten to add some.

- Metroid Prime (End boss of the game Metroid Prime)
- Meta Ridley (Metroid Prime)
- Mithos/Yggdrasil (Tales of Symphonia)
- Fuyibayashi Sheena, before she decides to side with the fellowship (Tales of Symphonia).
- Volt (Tales of Symphonia)
- Kvar (Tales of Symphonia)
- Thalnos (Lost Kingdoms)

Last edited by Chevalr1c; Sep 2, 2011 at 08:26 PM. Reason: lol I typed "Symhonia" twice. Fixed.

All have their own ideas on bosses.
Mine are:
3: Medievil 2: Gladiator arena
2: Tomb Raider The last revelation: Final level. Horus (could not be defeated!)
1: TR AOD: The chamber with the phantom (Which could not be defeated too!! )

I know theres a lot of hate for the list, and I can't say I agree with it completely either, but I do know this forum is lacking on MMO players and I see some people breezing past at least 1 of these that I know a good amount of info on that I assume others do not. And that one would be C'thun from WoW. To just give a bit of info here, this was a fight that required 40 people (40 amazingly skilled people, most servers didn't even kill this guy till an expansion later). This fight took 40 people about 30 - 35 minutes to kill, thats over a half hour of 40 random people staying on the ball, if anyone died it was basically a wipe. And if you wiped about 10 minutes in, you would have to spend another hour and a half clearing the "mobs (creatures)" to even get back to the boss just to throw your corpse at him again. He was a level 60 boss and I seen groups of level 80's wipe on him, to kill him at his appropriate level was an amazing feat less than 1% of WoW players got to enjoy.

Mother Brain
Ganon
Dr. Robotnik
Bowser
Jacquio (Hardest boss ever)

No where on the list?

I mean really how old is the asshole making these lists?

Edit: Need to add Xaero to that list.

I hope so. All that video reminded me of was a visit to the in-laws. When I get home, will check if it's on Steam, D2D, or other, and try it out.

There are some hard ones in LOTRO, though I don't think any of them are near that. Most of ours are designed to be doable with a couple less than the max grouping. 6-man can be done with 5, 12-man can be done with 10, 24-man can be done with 20-21. This is in case of connection drops, or wife aggro.

The fight with Nornuan ("turtle raid") can be done in under 10 minutes with a full group of 12. As long as your group is moderately prepared, he will be killed. Though there are some raids that I haven't even tried. One is 3-4 hrs long with several bosses, each having to be taken down with a specific strategy.

Well that left a lot to be desired.. I've only heard of two of three of them, and only played one, and that's mantis from MGS. And I don't think it even places lol.

C'Thun was a guild breaker, my server was on of the top 5 in the US, only 1 guild downed him, and I think 5 guilds broke up because people got sick of throwing their corpses at him, but some people wanted to keep trying so those people would leave the guild.

Then the next instance had a fight called The Four Horsemen, 40 man once again, had to split the raid into 4 groups and fight them at different corners of the room, then switch tanks on them and alternate dps on others, and each of them had their own debuff that stacked that you had to watch and alternate, another guild breaker.

I'm finding it amusingly ironic that I posted this to discuss top boss battles, but instead everyone is taking a pop at the reviewer for allegedly being rubbish.
