Max Payne 3 Coming March 2012.(New Pics)

Finally, been waiting for the third iteration of this series after finishing the first two.
Quote:
Payne will fulfill his duties with a healthy helping of the series' signature bullet-time gameplay mechanic, in which the player slows the world to a crawl and Max acrobatically leaps into action, firing twin pistols at anyone in range. That's not the only way to play, as Rockstar is supplementing that approach with a variety of weaponry and a cover system.

Rockstar is also incorporating multiplayer into the series for the first time with Max Payne 3. The publisher has said it will feature "traditional" multiplayer game modes with full-featured support for character progression, clans, and loadout options.

Interesting, I see him with hair, then bald (like I thought he was going to be). Does the game start as a prequel, or do a bit of catching up for those that never played, then continue with the current plot?

I'm glad they have the original actor for him (they planned not to). Otherwise I don't feel a lot for it, doesn't look like Payne, although:

Looks like something like that.

Otherwise it looks like random shooter with bullettime. Here's a (pretty old) article and it's all just so meh.

The 2nd screenshot looks like the apartment buildings from Max Payne 2, which was a great level.

Judging from this text, storyline will continue. Max Will be older

"The game will catch up with the now-former cop, who has spent the time since Max Payne 2 running from his troubled past. That has led him to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he works as a private bodyguard for a wealthy family."

Yeah it will continue, but I was just wondering about the new screens that show him as he looked before. They must weave in some of the older story to explain the games to people who haven't played before, since it's been a while since Max Payne 2.

does this game even use the noir comic storytelling device? I worry bullet time mechanics won't hold up since they have been a feature of many games since.

Sadly I still think the Cinematic mod for Max Payne 2 is the best bullet time out there.

yet another game to pre-order, hopefully qubit can offset my cost by giving me MW3 so the expense can go on MP3, else, I just won't eat for a few days - hell I don't do that anyway when I get into my gaming zoned-out-weekend

Only music in the trailer is from the Max Payne, the rest looks more like "Die Hard" movies I really hope this game will be better than it looks now.

I am a big fan of the 2 first series, but this one is kinda...off. I would have love the noire thingy, gloomy music, and comic bands stile of narrating...oh well...

People move on with life, Max has too, can't stay depressed forever, at least not in the same way. I assume he just now spends his time doing whatever pays best to drown out his memories.
