as long as your card is dx9 capable, I think it will be able to. I'm pickin up an FX 5500 tomorrow off of craigslist for $5 to try and get an even lower score

Good luck!!

The same way I found his score http://3dmark.com/3dm03/6440289. Simply search the database.

I'm not Maban.. but if you know what gpu and cpu they use, you can do a search ( results tab on top of page ) of 3dmark03 for the scores with those combinations, If they dont have them hidden.

Once you do the search, just click next page until you get to the last one and the lowest scores are there.

Maybe if W1zzard has time, he could make or post some sort of leader board, like top 10 or something I understand he is busy though...

I'll post my lowest scores as I get them so you guys can see if you want, maybe it will help get more people joining the competition

Lowest as of 09-20-2011 is a valid score of: 7 http://3dmark.com/3dm03/6440457

2. Multiple entrys?

@W1zzard, (or anyone who can answer)

Since I logged in and uploaded a result in order to add the PowerColor PIMP MY RIG 2011 per rule 14, I cannot view that score if I am not logged in. Other scores that I uploaded without being logged in are visible under any condition.

If I upload it through GPU-Z to use that score as my submission for the contest, will it be visible to TPU?

If not, how do I make it visible?

If your talking about ORB, you have to reveal the score, most likely you just accidentally hit the hide results button. To reverse that and make is visible without having to be logged in, as well as visible to everyone, just click "Reveal Result".

I was watching the benchmark run, WoF rendered 4 frames, but gave me a N/A?

I have also noticed that I can run the exact same settings several times, and get widely varying results.

"ditto"

I have also gotten 4 frames rendered in wof .. which to me is 4/42 ( 4frames /42seconds ) = 0.095 frames per second ... I have had less frames than that register .. so yeah it kinda seems like a very random outcome and more "luck of the draw" type thing ...

Yeah, so now at least it seems to be more exiting to get to the real ground zero

I also got 0,0x at all four GT`s, so i can say that there is a much lower Result than 10 possible
(Less than ten, less than seven, even less than .... #5+%65 )

Yes it seem`s so, i also sometimes got less than 4 frames valid in orb and sometimes not.
Maybe it depends on how long you pull the "break" at the moment the benchmark is running the test

From my calculations, I believe the lowest valid ORB score is two, as it appears the results are rounded up to the nearest whole number.

I am not sure about this '"break" you speak of, would you care to elaborate?

hmm, i don`t think that the Test will run on it, as far is a know you need at processor capable the MMX feature.

I already tried on a Pentium II 266 mhz running , which is too slow for me to handle the values exact enough.

Sorry, maybe after the contest

As far as i calculated my goal is also two points, but i still need some runs to get it.
Luckily for that i managed to get a run in less than a hour, as about 8 hours before

Time to go to bed, already very late here.

Chri

sorry for my english, i`m not the best at other languages ^^

Alright fellas, I'm bringing out the big guns. Got a Northwood and X850 PC that's going to be benching until I either hit a minimum or the contest ends.

Eh, hit a snag. It keeps losing focus for some reason. Did one successful default run and got 11k.

No u can't.
It might be smarter to stay quiet but mehh.....it is not possible to score 2 or lower, not without cheating the rulles.

Less than two?

(If you see an error, please correct me).

Using the absolute minimum of one frame rendered for each test. (unless the benchmark allows rendering of a partial frame and still gives a valid score?, in which case all my calculations are invalid).

Dividing that by the length of the test for each. (from observing the timer, the lengths are as noted).

Applying the multiplier from the whitepaper for each.

Adding them all up.

Test 1: 42 seconds.

1/42 = 0.02380952380952380952380952380952 FPS X 7.3 = 0.17380952380952380952380952380952

Test 2: 74 seconds.

1/74 = 0.01351351351351351351351351351351 FPS X 37 = 0.5

Test 3: 72 seconds.

1/72 = 0.01388888888888888888888888888889 FPS X 47.1 = 0.65416666666666666666666666666667

Test 4: 68 seconds.

1/68 = 0.01470588235294117647058823529412 FPS X 38.7 = 0.56911764705882352941176470588235

Add up the scores:
0.17380952380952380952380952380952 +

0.5 +

0.65416666666666666666666666666667 +

0.56911764705882352941176470588235 =

1.8970938375350140056022408963585 3D Marks.

I believe (clarification needed) that the score is rounded up to the nearest whole number, which would be two.
