Are these Compatible?
Is a “GV-N56GSO-1GI” video card compatible with a “GA-990XA-UD3” AMD Motherboard?

Welcome to TPU.
![]() Yep, they will work fine together. Make sure you also have an appropriate PSU. |

I can't say I recommend getting an X6 1100T just a couple weeks before bulldozer launches man. That's a waste of cash. It will be worthless the second the FX chips hit shelves...
I would go with a much cheaper dual or quad core for a couple weeks then grab yourself a bulldozer chip. Don't buy a $180 chip for two weeks use. The rest looks fine, although I would go with the H100 over the H80. Oh - I would also go with a 560Ti at the least if you're doing 1080p or higher and want to really get the most out of your new rig. Either that or go with an AMD HD 6950 1GB or 2GB if you have the extra cash! They can usually be unlocked to full 6970 shaders.

Why are you buying an 1100T if Bulldozer is supposed to be out in 10 days? That 1100T would be completely worthless overnight. Oh, and that 32" screen is a bad monitor. Definitely a horrible choice for a PC. It can't even do 1920x1080. It's fine for watching TV, but for computer not so much. Better off buying a 27" monitor instead of a TV. Or if you want to spend $500 you can buy a MUCH better monitor. Try a 27" IPS monitor from DELL. That would be a much more suitable option.

I think "worthless" is a relative term, myself for example regard it as rather powerful/hungry even when BD is out (says a man still satisfied with his C2D E8400). BD has an equal TDP, is even more powerful and will be rather pricey for a while, which may result in a price drop of the 1100T soon.

1100T = 6+ year old architecture that is EOL and has bad memory bandwidth.
BD should** fix all of this with brand new architecture, improved memory bandwidth, etc. Just sayin'
