Windows 8 8102 technical preview

so i decided to install this newest M$ baby on my pc to go along with windows 7 on a different hdd and i have to say its freking awesome.

I read so many different opinions about its only beta and really not so functional but so far all of newes games works faultlessly as well as all the drivers and more. New interface is makeing my dreams come true

Reason I make this topic is I want to know if anyone else tried Windows 8 Technical Preview for them self and what they think about it.
Im not talking about virtual machine (because its so, sooo slooow), i want to know opinions from people that really installed W8TP on their HDDs

Where can we get this download for WIN 8 x64?

I did the same with Windows 7, where MS e-mailed me a direct link, several years before Win 7 went to retail.

Actually it is rather stable.

Ran it myself for a couple weeks, I did notice a small overall bump in "feel".It also does boot a little quicker. Needed to also mention, it picked up my array AT INSTALLATION meaning the drivers were there.

@ad3k

Where did you get a technical build 8102?! I would like to try it. All I see is a developer preview

Uses like 20% less ram. Only turns on services when needed instead of letting them run all the time. No more need for tweaking it. Great for netbooks. Supposedly it juggles cores better but haven't seen benchmarks. Def. moving on to 8, has a lot of basic UI and functionality changes I was expecting to appear in 7. Even the taskmanager looks great.

I won't move to 8 anytime soon just because i don't want to go all over the tweaking and training again , it took half a year for Win7 (from XP) and well 8 is just not any major upgrade in whole design but i still would take me a week to make all settings, registery tweaks and workaround.

I was thinkering of making some kind of how to for quick tweaking since i rely currently on my own mind to recall me "what else i need to tweak before i do other stuff" ...

because there's a point , tweaks need to be done before you start to use PC, stuff like full row select, resets all folder settings when needing to disable so better do it at fresh install.

Here are some links including DL links for this build. I will also add them to my original Windows 8 post here: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=152024

Also note that if you downloaded the first build and updated through Windows update it will be the 8102 build. I checked my system last night (downloaded the original preview) and sure as the world it shows 8102.

There is a tweak for 7 to fix core parking that is useful for laptops and the like. Maybe they added the fix.
