Arctic Intros Accelero Mono Plus VGA Cooler
Arctic released a new VGA cooler, the Accelero Mono PLUS. This cooler can handle thermal loads of up to 200W, and maintains a compact fin-stack design, unlike the monolitic heatsink design of the Accelero L2 series. Measuring 136 (L) x 138 (W) x 51 (H) mm, its main heatsink weighs 348 g. From an exposed-copper base (with pre-applied adhesive thermal compound) arise five 6 mm thick copper heat pipes, that fan out to pass through an aluminum fin stack. This stack is ventilated by a 120 mm PWM-controlled fan that can spin at speeds between 400 and 1500 RPM. It can be as quiet as 0.4 Sone.
The package includes smaller heatsinks for memory chips and VRM, and a sachet of G-1 thermal adhesive compound. The package also includes a resistor cable that connects the cooler to a 4-pin Molex connector, and gives out two voltage levels: 12V and 7V, running the fan at its maximum and minimum speeds. The cooler is compatible with a wide range of graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD, including AMD Radeon HD 6970/6950, and NVIDIA GTX 560 Ti. Sadly, GF110/GF100-based single-GPU graphics cards such as GTX 470, GTX 465, GTX 480, GTX 570, GTX 580, are not supported. The Accelero Mono PLUS is priced at US $59.99.

Is is the same cooler that they used for their 6990 cooler : ] ( cept with no middle plate)
So look at how they perform if your curious and there's no reviews yet. I've had a poorly designed version of one of these 120mm heatsinks and even that rubbish one done a pretty nice job on my 5770, a well designed one ( i.e heatpipes in sensible places) Should be able to outperform all but the best stock heatsinks. |

Ive owned AC's Twin Turbo and Twin Turbo Pro's mounted on 4870's and 5850s and they have all been badass until crossfiring them up (due to the tripple slot nature of the cooler Twin Turbos' the top card gets suffocated)
Im curious to see if this cooler can cool a 6970 sufficiently.

Bare in mind one running by it's self would perform better as there's no secondary heatsource radiating next to it http://www.kitguru.net/components/gr...oler-review/5/ |

I noticed they were prone to doing things like what you noticed. Also the language can be a little bit broken. |

See little reason to go for one with one fan. Increased surface FTW.

No dawg, all you need is 2 5400RPM Gentle Typoons and stick a 120mm shroud in between them so you got a push|pull system going. and it will beat down any other cooling setup out there except for watercooling

Can probably get a branded pccooler one for cheap sometime soon
http://www.pccooler.cn/en/proview.ph...53&pro_id=1775 ![]() AC will have better manufacturing but the extra heatpipe in this one should level the performance out. |
