Thank you. It does. Very well, might I add. I am very impressed with the processing power I can still get from a puny HD 3470 in games. And with other software, it hasn't let me down once.
Oh, and a fresh installation of the OS (used to have a bloated Vista 32-bit) with the 7200rpm drive helped a lot too , programs load at impressive speeds for a laptop.
I'm going to give you a 9/10. It's an impressive machine.
If I were to make any changes, I would swap the graphics card with another that had more vRAM (could still be an HD 6950), knowing you have 2 monitors, and being DDRIII cheap these days, just add a little more. But that's just me.

Thanks for the coment. I am a hobby/game player so yes I want 8+ gigs of ram at 1866 speeds and I wanted the 2GB memory 6950 or even the 6970 and a really wanted a nice SSD but it just wasn't in the budget. Seriously though this system games really good BC3 Beta was smooth as butter. If only I had a 10yr olds reactions and eyesight I would be a world champion gamer.

8/10 cuz the 5870M is a little dated. Sits somewhere between a Radeon HD 5750 and 5770 according to notebook check.

secondly - 1 point off because something like that probably weighs a ton and im sick of lugging around laptops that weigh more then 2.3Kg.

no doubt that would run any game pretty nicely at medium settings for more demanding games

Actually it can be improved SLi 590's or a SATA III SSD

----

Getting an Crucial M4 tomorrow to replace my OCZ Vertex2, that should boost boot speeds a little more.

Good balance of hardware, should run and game very well. Just wouldn't been nice if it had a more beefier CPU/Board and a nice SSD. Then it'll be kickass!
