Wow I just realized something embarrassing,turns out my left speaker was on the right, and the right was on the left! I was training my th'um or whatever, and the greybeard was talking to me, and he was on my left and I could only hear him out of the right speaker. So I went into sound settings and did a sound test and sure enough my speakers were wrong... I guess I game with headphones too often //excuse

Not sure if you done this but You gotta highlight over the shout you want and press R then it unlocks it

check your tooltips at the bottom of the screen!!! i think you have to press R to unlock a shout with a soul. Simply clicking on the shout give you a message saying you need to use the soul!

Bosmer archer is now L11. Archery seems pretty mean, I'm getting super crits with sneak, and pretty much still dropping stuff in 1 - 2 hits.

I got my first house as well. Gold seems pretty plentiful, Just doing the main quest and looting things like enchanted robes and armour seems to net a good profit at minimal weight gain.

One thing i an liking is the game feels more like morrowind than oblivion, I can't describe why it feels like morrowind. But there is less gleaming armour, and clean cut sword faring types. Skyrim is dirty, and has this feeling of something is going to kill me if i'm not watching where i'm going! I have had a number of reloads after getting jumped by trolls, ogres, and giants. It's also pretty cool that NPC's don't auto react to you. They let you come to them weapons drawn, then start shouting out there going to kill you! leaves you wondering and acting a little suspicious at crossroads!

Yeah I've done that before and ruined games for me...

On a side note, does anyone know how to make every type of spider in this game look like something not as creepy/disturbing? Spiders creep the shit out of me

I think it's depracated meaning no longer used but I am not sure either. I installed Ati Tray Tools which, of course, does have Mipmap option and it was on Hugh Quality though the checkbox for force Mipmap setting caused it to go totally low quality in game. Grainy textures...

Well they are all separate stories in separate regions of this world. Oblivion was my intro to the series (and the genre) and I found I really liked these kinds of games. They are much more "approachable" than RPGs like Dragon Age...

theres a mod on nexus that turns are spiders into bears, if that helps

Check under magic and active buffs to be sure. They tend to say that alot if you havent slept in a while.

Hey there is a town to the south that has a thief guild, but with it and the factions between Legion and Stormcloak im having trouble picking sides. Legion is a big bully who tells people what and how they should worship. Stormcloaks are xenophobic and dont help anyone else, but themselves.

They say the thief guild is corrupt and a band of rabble and what not. Not honorable thieves.

Its really hard making these type of decisions.

I am very impatient for the Catalyst Profiles to enable crossfire.... they said no ETA but they are working on it so wtf is that supposed to mean

, they haven't even addressed RAGE yet either I don't play the game but kinda goes to show how long they're going to take.

Can't wait till they release cf profile for it, that being said the one 6950 only occasionally stutters(usually w/ fog) w/ everything maxed @1080. Must be the 2gigs vram. Game will prob be a vram beast w/ a hd texture mod.

so just received the dark brotherhood gear. There was a variant where there is a masked version and non masked version but it seems that both looked the same where there's supposed to be a red clothmask covering the mouth area (Astrid has her shrouded cowl masked). Anyone gettin the same result?

Let me get this straight, for the texture mods and stuff like that, I just have to store all of those files in a folder called "textures" in the "Data" folder and they will automatically work?

yes...it pretty much adds them to your already texture files in the data folder

The 6950 (guess it could be a 6970 since it's unlocked) is a great card you could play skyrim fine with one.

Must be the 2gigs vram. Game will prob be a vram beast w/ a hd texture mod.

There was a variant where there is a masked version and non masked version but it seems that both looked the same where there's supposed to be a red clothmask covering the mouth area (Astrid has her shrouded cowl masked). Anyone gettin the same result?
