Kingston Digital Launches its Fastest USB Flash Drive

Kingston Digital, Inc., the Flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 3.0. The DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 is designed for enthusiasts, gamers, early adopters and high end consumers; it features the fastest speeds and largest capacities that Kingston has to offer in a USB Flash drive. Faster speeds and higher capacities enable users to quickly store their digital files and keep it with them at all times, in HyperX style.

Its high-speed eight-channel architecture provides USB 3.0 data transfer rates of up to 225 MB/s read and 135 MB/s write. The DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 is available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities. The 256GB capacity can store approximately 10 Blu-ray Discs (25GB each), 54 DVDs (4.7GB each), 48,640 MP3s (4MB each) or 13,473,684 Microsoft Word files pages with various formatting and basic graphics.

With a durable and sleek design the DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 features a metal and rubberized casing with a reinforced key ring hole for daily use. It allows users to keep it with them at all times, as it can be easily attached to a key ring or lanyard.

That thing is awesome and that price is great! so 110EU is not bad. the cheapest 64gb flash drive is $115 at newegg and is does 120read 70write.

And the fastest one is the Patriot Supersonic Magnum 64GB which normally cost $140 with speed of Read Speed 200MB/s, Write Speed 120MB/s

Oh my bad British pound. But anyway it's being sold for a mer $128 for the 64GB which makes it the fastest usb 3.0 and for the money it's cheaper than most 64GB that I can find

64 GB: 110.76 GBP = 129.53 EUR = 174.41 USD

128 GB: 199.44 GBP = 233.25 EUR = 314.06 USD

256 GB: I can understand them not listing it!

it's more like:

64 GB: 110.76 GBP = 110.76 EUR = 110.76 USD

128 GB: 199.44 GBP = 199.44 EUR = 199.44 USD

Everyone knows with hardware traditional currency rates go out the window and they have a one-size-fits-all policy and do a straight 1-2-1 conversion

Yes guys I'll buy one of these instead of an SSD to slap in Raid 0 ..woohoo! I spent around €12 for my 8GB USB3 flash drive a few months ago which is roughly almost there if you count GB per GB, but how many drives of that high capacity actually sell?

Locally I have never seen one over 16GB in people's hands, and probably won't for some time anyway. Still nice to see them moving forward though, means cheaper will come sooner (or larger for that matter).

Kingston US lists the 64GB model for $193 and the 128GB model for $377...

Considering their 120GB HyperX SSD is only $273, it'd be cheaper to get that with a USB 3.0 enclosure than their 128GB flash drive... sure, it's bigger, but so what...
