What Can Thermaltake Do For You?

I really like the TT cases, and I own an original Armor with the 250mm side fan and love it.

I think that TT should host a case design contest where people can send in CAD drawings (or whatever) of their ideas of a cool case designs and have the potential of winning something awesome.
You would get an influx of ideas on what a lot of people think are worthy cases and could pick and choose if you wanted to use any of the ideas (whether full case implementation of just sub-component placement) or not.
Pretty much a win-win for TT.

Just a thought.

Sucks for those who are not good at 3D though or even drawing.. And i cannot i can afford CAD lol..

However like your self the older Armor cases were near perfect and as i said just earlier today to the TT guy via pm i have some ideas which would make it the perfect case as i am in the market to buy one too.

Hi great to hear that Thermaltake wants user feedback regarding future products.
I have the TT Armor+ which I absolute love, but lately it is showing its age.

Maybe you could improve the following on a next gen release of Armor+

1. Needs motheboard tray hole to facilitate easy mounting of large cpu coolers
2. Rubber Grommets in cable and tube management holes
3. PSU should be mounted in the bottom of the case
4. Space for mounting 3 x 120mm fans on top
5. Please Please Please paint the interior black !!!
6. Increase space for cable management on the the right side of the case
7. USB3
8. Make easier the removal of the top and front panel

I have a VA8003SWA and while it is an overall good chassis, for me, the cable management leaves much to be desired.

I agree the armor has been one of my favorites for awhile now, and now that chassis have been innovated with new features we finally can see what direction it needs to go, you never know what can happen

I think that most new designs start their life on cocktail napkins in bars.

The Frio Advance is nice and has clip on mounting so most fans should fit unless your fan has a huge lip on it which would be harder to clip on such as testing my Panaflo's

well im using Delta 120mm 115cfm fans on my current frio connected to a Sentry Mesh fan controller and while the rubber nubs work, there much harder in general to deal with when it comes to cleaning and maintenance and since the FRIO Advance better matches my new TPG 1050 thanks to Thermaltake by the way and it matches my case colors and in general every piece of my machine, i was thinking of grabbing one and doing a mini review, to compare the FRIO vs the FRIO Advanced to see if with the same fans the new design has minor improvements and what it brings to the table, testing at 25% 50% and 100% fan speed on the delta's and also check the newer improvements, As I loved the original FRIO sans the white fans, this newer versions really hits all the right points for me, So im trying to locate one.

What can Thermaltake do for me? That my friend is a good question. But I do have a answer. How about taking my unused, still in retail package Dragon Orb3 in trade for a Volcano 11. LOL just kidding. Just keep making great products. I do only use Thermaltake Hsf for all my systems ( 5 running and 3 in the build process). I also use your memory heat spreaders and case fans. So just keep up the good work.

Loving the look of that thing, my CM V6GT might not be old but if I saw some performance charts for the FRIO Advanced it could send it to the spare parts box

That new Frio looks like that Jing concept I was asking for earlier. Does make me wonder what body is used since the red top cap matches the green on on the Jing, and doesnt look anything like either of the other Frio's.

FRIO OCK is not FRIO Advanced, thus that image is worthless to me hopefully sneeky gets a FRIO advanced to test. so i can get some numbers.

from specs of the 3 coolers you can see the frio advanced is going to be the worst.Frio OCK 121CFM, Frio 101CFM,Frio advanced 88cfm

and im using 2x Delta's at 115cfm... so your point is,

im looking more at potential efficiency increases, potentially better mounting, already has better fan mounting for the most part.

efficiency increase + better looks = im willing to buy after all im only on a 2500k just about anything will keep these chips cool.

The Frio Advance is not designed to beat the Frio OCK at all... from my own testing on overclocked and overvolted i7 975 at 4GHz figure it is behind Frio OCK by about 2 degrees maybe 3 depending on ambient.

well im using a FRIO no OCK no other gimmicks just a plain jane FRIO, im interested in any benefits over the FRIO that the FRIO advanced might have, ive again already noticed the better fan mounting setup, and a few other things.

Direct touch heatpipes of course and the fan mounting.... also the PWM fans I believe is a likeable feature as well.

The best CPU coolers don't use DHT, do you guys do it for cost reasons?

(I've got several DHT coolers and they always perform better when I stick a copper shim between them and the chip )
