Upgrading a Packard Bell i5841 NC (CPU change), is it possible?
A friend's son, has a Packard Bell, i5841 NC, Intel based.
The current CPU is a i3. He want's something more powerful, like a i7. However, I'm not that good in branded models, and do not even know if it would fit the system. Also what are the current i7 models? Thanks in advance. |

You need to see if the motherboard actually supports an i7, and if the PSU is powerful enough to support it, etc.

Problem is, his son does not live exactly nearby. More like a phonecall away.
When removing the actual CPU from it's socket, it's then I can see what "S" model it uses, right? I'll tell him about his PSU aswell. Thanks for the info. |
