Aliens: Colonial Marines Cinematic Trailer

Today IGN is showing off their exclusive Aliens: Colonial Marines Cinematic trailer for the PC, Xbox360 and the PS3. Sadly no real gameplay is shown but its a beautifully rendered sequence that shows in essence a star ship or a foreign colony of Earth infested with Xenomorphs. From what is gathered of this trailer is as a player you will be playing with a group of people and not a lone soldier as previous games in the franchise have played out. Time will tell if the trailer holds true to the game with its creepy music and dark mood. One thing is certain, H.R. Giger would be proud.

Hopefully it is better than the last game and longer lived as well, the MP on the last game was fun but imba so no one played it.

The game has been in dev long enough. Originally there was talks it would be scrapped. Then it got picked up and finally its coming.

This is the title I wanted for over a decade. Original AVP on Jaguar was a good attempt, still freaks me out more than any other AVP. But you were alone and there was no squad to watch get eaten, or help you out. The ones after, cept the last one, were just dull. The 3D models actually made them less scary. Now finally we get what we've been crying for all these years, a FPS centered around the Colonial Marines with plenty of close combat Alien action.

The original AVP had every thing nearly and all it needed was COOP story mode.. If this don't have it it be another of the reasons to fail..

And the last one OMG was no were near dark enough got bored of it real fast still need to play more though it still and have this horrid feeling this new one will fail to as it's way to soon for it to be released so thinking it's a rush job to cash in.

It looks like some dull co-op shooter or something. Survival horror elements fade out with all those crowds of marines. What a bore.

Good god I hope this game blows me away. AVP was such a let down.

I don't want my hopes getting crushed, oh well, if this game sucks I still have Metro Last Light and STALKER 2 to keep me happy ^^

I took a gander through an HR Giger book a few years back. It's easy to see his influence in the Alien creation, pretty genius. But I have to say he also had some pretty freaky and often sexual themes going on lol. I look forward to this game!

Giger was the father of biomechanicalism in art. I see his influance in almost everything.

i think the key here is that this has no Predators.

as cool as the three way action is, its going to be more balanced this time around.

I agree. Plus it uses the Unreal 3.0 engine so it should be smooth.
