Hi guys,
I'm looking to replace my current motherboard, since it's malfunctioning. I have a pretty tight budget (600DKK MAX), so the options I have don't really have much to speak of in terms of reviews and such. Thus I'd like some insight instead, if possible. One of the boards I'm currently looking at is the MSI H61MA-E35 (B3) I realize that without a P67 chipset, I won't be able to overclock anymore (correct?), but that's better than my computer hardly working. I only use one graphics card, so the single slot is not a problem either. Any reason not to buy this, keeping in mind that I will use all my current hardware with it? Thanks for any info or alternatives. Best regards, Valen

Typically no SATA3 or USB3 on H61 boards, but a few have them.

Absolutely no way you can stretch?
http://www.pixmania.com/dk/dk/958723...a1155-soc.html Although, have you attempted rma? Maybe getting H67 and wait for that to come back, resell the board you purchased once it does? |

The site I bought my board at seem to have rather sketchy RMA rules. If they decide nothing is wrong with the board or whatever, I'll have to pay 1250DKK, which is just lame. Actually shipping the board to whatever country from Denmark will cost around 300DKK.
I think my main problem is the SATA controller dying, since it's the first generation of Sandy Bridge mobos, and I never got it exchanged. Does RMA still cover that? And I might be able to stretch.. I'll have to talk to my girlfriend about that.

Which would be $150 here because of taxes, which would then be around 850DKK plus shipping.. Yay for taxes huh?
Can't stretch the budget that much, unfortunately.

would be my pick for a budget 1155 board, in fact it was as i have it sat upstairs waiting till friday when i can afford a 2500k  i know denmark is a little further away but i know a guy who saved money building his pc by coming to the uk on a ferry from norway and buying his bits here and then going home overnight on another ferry. might not be as cheap on a per part basis but on a whole system one trip might save you a few quid too? fyi you can get that board for around £80 atm.

Call the place you bought it from. Explain to them about the recall, let them know you have legal documentation from Intel to back it and that they HAVE TO replace it.

Also, can try emailing Asrock, support@asrockamerica.com to see if they have any local rma partners for you that you can send it directly to manufacturer instead of going through your etailer/local shop.

Thanks for the info. Think I'll contact my retailer first, see what they have to say. Their website says to contact AsRock about the issue though, so I doubt I'll get a different answer from them.

Because my hard drives are stopped being recognized, along with my DVD drive.
To be more specific, the intel hard drive management program thing that my mobo comes with have been telling me my hard drive has been removed, while I was using the computer, then it comes back after a while. If using any of the files on it, it gets "removed".
