So my mod manager now mucked up big time. It had already mucked up before but I had gone to E:\Games\Skyrim\Install Info and deleted InstallLog.xml and renamed my latest InstallLog.xml.bak to InstallLog.xml and it had worked.

But this time it didn't work. Not even if I uninstalled the Mod Manager and re-installed it

Well, the NMM is still in beta phase so it's something to be expected.

Anyway, I tried playing and got this nice scenery...

Now I will try to install Skyrim HD textures manually. I'm a bit terrified of doing the manual thing, it'd be a pain to remove it if anything goes wrong!

I guess it's better for me to play the game rather than to play with the game

Thing is that I've deleted Nexus Mod Manager and everything.

I deleted the entire textures folder and done a verification of game cache.

The vanilla game runs OK.

But as soon as I manually install the HD Skyrim I keep getting the same purple scenery as above... No matter how many times I re-download the mod, when extracting it keeps giving me errors.

Duh...

I solved it. Skyrim HD works only if extracted with 7zip. I never realized that since I always used Mod Manager. I downloaded 7zip instead of using winrar, and my textures are back to normal. Even better than vanilla with the full version of HD Skyrim (before the 1.4 patch I used the lite version of HD Skyrim not the full one). I've added realistic water now, and hd npc clothing, and the game's looking even better!

Thats odd. I had that same thing happen, pretty much. I reinstalled NMM a couple times, and tried it vanilla and still had all the purpleness though. So I deleted my data folder and replaced it with a backup. Then everything was better.

Now I have a new problem. I don't think its related to that. I installed the 1.3 patch a while ago, and since then I get a script error from time to time that says something about 'myHoldOwner Property showing "0" when it should be "1" or "2."' I didn't think much of it until one day I go to my house in whiterun and get arrested by a guard. Then I went to dragonsreach and the secretary says, do you want to buy a house? I've owned breezehome for well over a month now. Same thing with my other house in solitude. and also, all of my quests that I've finished, when I go back and talk to those people they give me the same quest again. It shows completed in my quest book, but all of the places I've cleared no longer show cleared. I'm at like level 40, and I don't really want to start all over. I'm getting to that point though.

It's out and will update from Steam if you have the game set to auto-update.
There is also a new version of SKSE that works fine with it.

So anyone using Ebony armor? I was using it with the helmet. And now I just took the helmet off and i actually like it now without where helmet or any headwear. I also just got this lighting mod, and ditched enhanced shaders. This lighting mod is the SHIT!

Here are some screenies I just took. I also see no performance hit, and better frames and lighting quality then when i had Enhanced Shaders.

Fog also works well now. Especially over water fog. Before with Enhanced Shaders(ENB series) it got rid of fog.

I guess theres rainbow mode, thats not supposed to happen with it.

Does anyuone have anything to say about my post about the entire game being screwed? I think It might be a corrupted save. Its really awesome lighting. For the armor. If i could It would be awesome to take a hood. Make it black and then take the decoration design(the white stuff on the ebony armor) and put it on the hood in a cool way. so that its something thatll work better then the helmet.

This 1.4 official patch has overall been great for me since I can now play my first game again without any CTD and I can not continue to do the thieves guild quests.

Just found out the guards take all stolen belongings regardless of where to steal them from if you get caught.

I wear Navrakiin or whatever. Its an ebony dragon preists mask, so the inside matches. The outside is still leather with a fancy border. Before that I just wore an apprentice hood, because its black.

I cant find another apprentice hood, and this is the only screenie I can find with it.

I was using it with the helmet. And now I just took the helmet off and i actually like it now without where helmet or any headwear. I also just got this lighting mod, and ditched enhanced shaders. I also see no performance hit, and better frames and lighting quality then when i had Enhanced Shaders. Fog also works well now. Especially over water fog. Just found out the guards take all stolen belongings regardless of where to steal them from if you get caught.
