BitFenix Prodigy Pictured with Hardware Installed

Here are the first pictures of BitFenix Prodigy with compatible hardware installed. These pictures show that despite being designed for compact motherboard form-factors such as the mini-ITX, the Prodigy has plenty of room for a long graphics card (even the likes of Radeon HD 6990 will fit), and water-cooling hardware such as a 2x 120 mm radiator, pump, tubing, to support water-cooling of both the CPU and graphics card installed. Regardless, there's still room for large-sized tower-type CPU air cooler and dual-slot graphics card cooler, as the pictures below reveal.

I'd disagree with that, looks like it's designed to fit huge dual GPU cards and the biggest heat-sinks you can get, full size power supplies etc.

Yeah it's bigger than most ITX but I'd wager it's the only one that can fit 2x240mm double thick radiators in there.

This case would be ideal for any silentfreak who wants a quiet build with low rpm fans. Im guessing there are holes for a 200mm fan in to front. Combine that with a 240rad fans blowing upward and that 120mm at the back and the case airflow would be perfect. That 240rad would keep the cpu/gpu cool (maybe even with some minor OCs) and a small res/pump would go down at the bottom. Ohh god I think I have it... guys I think im getting sick

No your right about that - im not saying the case is terrible, just that it is too big even those things taken into account. Just because a case doesn't exist with the same features, doesnt mean that the first design to accommodate is the best or most efficient. As an ITX gamer with a case that can accomodate dual GPU and my H60 WC unit, this thing is too big.

Not to mention, having worket with now ITX, what alot of people won't see from those pics is that a full size heatsink doesnt usually fit because the socket is too close to the Ram / GPU hence why there is no gpu where they are showing one full size heatsinks (the heatpipe wouldnt allow you to put a card there), and maybe even the other as well - it looks like the fins would touch.

It looks like a nice case, but I think they've missed a trick by calling it MITX to appeal to that crowd. If they made it ~1-2cm wider, they'd easily fit an MATX motherboard in there (see the amount of free space on the non-GPU side of the mobo), and the case would be much more versatile. Instead they've got themselves an MATX case that fits MITX motherboards and nothing else...

It's an awesome case. I like the way they are going. I don't think is too big. I am tired of small mini-ITX enclosures that are not targetted at the gaming/working community. If you want to have a standrad PSU (~150x150x86mm), an optical device, a decent air cooler and a longer GPU, some "extra" space is required. It's true you get close to a mATX standrads, though: http://www.amazon.com/Cubitek-Extern...8286126&sr=8-1 . Anyway I can't w8 to give it a price tag and release date.

case is too big for a micro itx indeed.. in fact it could be as big as a micro atx. Lan gear's design is more efficient, but this one can hold a 240 rad.

Having seen the case in real life: when installing a rad, you have to remove the ODD drive. otherwise there is a single such bay at your disposal, should you go for air or single rad cooling.
