Oh absolutely. I was just remembering, and re-reading, the notes that say M$ established a 30-day exclusivity clause with Bethesda for DLC, and re-ranting... *sigh* There are days that I really hate M$.. like all of those ending in "y".... or potentially just those with more than one vowel....

It is tomorrow already.
Where's this creation kit.
I want to make body warpaint, then struggle with how I want to get it in game as a changeable item which needs certain items to be able to apply it.

I think I will try something simple with the creation kit.
Just a place for the player to live that has everything the way I want it.

Yeah speaking of simple things, I also feel the need to replace the Dibella monkrobe outfits.

I mean come on....if they are supposed to be about beauty then why are they all dressed up in this shitty coverall robes?

used construction set in the days of oblivion, experimenting with OP weapons and armor lol, would like the creation kit to arrive for the modders to have a more powerful tool (they are making crazy stuff now, i wonder how more complex it would be if it arrives).
Hi res texture pack DLC? why not just make it a downloadable mod? for testing the steam workshop?

Still have to go back to skyrim, Xenoblade is taking up too much of my gaming time now.

Well Skyrim just corrupted all my recent saved games AGAIN - To be honest I don't think I can even care about going back to an older one to do it all over again, AGAIN.

And even if i did - when next is it just going to balls up all my progress AGAIN, Again, again?

I think my joyride on the Skyrim wagon is over.

EDIT : I wonder if a toolkit to EDIT saved games may be able to load & re-save / repair my old game files... somehow iron out whatever bumps are giving the game an issue.

That's a shame.

Ever since the 1.4 patch I have been back in to it again.

I have no serious bugs now with my first play through.
The only major few I have are, Skjor resurrected and Tonila being the only fence available to me in the whole of Skyrim.

Performance patch is 1.4 and yes, it's released and available on Steam.

No Creation Kit yet this morning.

Since 1.4 I am seeing occasional CTDs and random freezes, but not very often.
I've experienced no save game corrution with any rev level of Skyrim, but I am only running a couple of non-world changing mods, and I use no ini tweaks (although ini tweaks shouldn't matter).

As for hi-res textures ... its all speculation at this point and no one said it would be DLC (as opposed to just a separate download).
No one is even sure hi-res textures are coming from Bethesda.

I wouldn't expect the Hi-Res from Bethesda (a complete surprise, honestly)... that, IMO, would be a complete waste of developer time, unless they created the game Hi-Res, and dumbed it down for the console.... Why spend development time worknig on hi res, when past experience has shown that the Modding community is more than capable of (and determined to) making use of the CS to create ultra-high quality mods for the games.

It's quite possible that Bethesda did make hi-res textures from the start.
There are a couple of reasons they may not have put them in the PC release, one being that they simply did not have enough space on the disk. There were interviews with Pete Hines (I think it was him) that said they improved their compression algorithms so they could fit all of the audio on the disk. Perhaps with all the audio and everything else, there was not enough room to include hi-res textures.

Like I said, unless they created it that way from the start, and dumbed it down for the dumm---err... the consoles. But even if they did, I sure wouldn't expect them to try to issue it as DLC, unless it's free, or as the initial release, since the first DLC is exclusively licensed to Sata-...er.. M$ Xbox.

I am now running the large high res pack and, floura mod, better bodies high res, shining ore mod, and a few others on the 1.4 beta and performance is amazingly better, running almost ultra settings and only get a few microstutters when loading new textures occasionally.

I have seen where the textures are missing due to lack of vmem in a few spots, then the load as you approach.

Working magic with my nord, got my fire, sparks, and frost up a couple levels and between that and a few good weapons I am almost unstoppable.

Looking forward to the open world mod, where there are no loading screens between locations (except dungeons), just doors
