Half-Life 2 is before 2006, but is worth playing again. This time with your upgraded PC and in HDR!

While I really enjoyed a replay of HL2 recently, I found Episode 1 so boring, stale, scripted, doom like and disappointing I didnt bother with Episode 2.

Metacritic is a industry standard that takes all publication reviews ie Giantbomb, IGN, 1UP, Gamespot, etc. and averages a score. the database goes back 15 years and it will make your life a lot easier. everybody should bookmark it.

So some of the usual suspects in my list but by no means all of the usual suspects as i think most games are frankly utter pish. All of the above though I thoroughly enjoyed. Risen is highlighted as it is the one game that you may not have heard off and it is truly excellent.
