user stats

I am wondering if we could view some real time user stats. Sure, we can see people's post count, but wouldn't it be cool if we could track top users by post count? Obviously TPU has a large user base so to save CPU time you could limit the results to top 100 and those members could get a special color or tag or something. Also, seeing top thanks and top thanked would be neat as well as time spent on tpu, etc.

I dont think having made more posts also means that you also post the most usefull and informing stuff.

It only means you post a lot of stuff.

Good idea. More site bling to look at !!
I mean look at it realistically. What else do we really have here other than news, contests, reviews, articles, helping people with their hardware/software issues, smacking them with infractions when they misbehave, crushing their hopes and dreams and then tossing their virtual personas on an ever growing fetid pile of decomposing, rat eaten, internet souls.

oh wait ... I vote no ... and I agree with Banjo.

i can see what you mean but yeah sadly i to can also see a downside to it, it also means that even though they are in the top posters i prefer if everyone here at tpu was like one big family just general helping out and talking not the top 100 list and... the rest. Kinda feels like it would split up the general chat into a competition to fill the list

So you want the things you can see at GN to be implemented over here as well?

The Bethesda forums has an interesting feature. It's a "warn status" bar that shows the member how close they are to "extinction". Only visible to the member and the mods.
That seems kind of handy for the mods and prevents comments like, "I didn't know I was so close to being banned 'cause I never look at my profile."

Looks like this ...

Noooo. Imagine that plus all the contact stuff some people have. It'd be a nightmare.

The warn bar is a good idea though.
