I guess its up to the flip coin. Both are excellent and are very similar in build.

Gahhh maybe I'll draw up a list of pros and cons for both cases. Flipping a coin seems too cheap!

Just go with your gut & get the one that fits your needs/wants. All cases mentioned in the thread are nice.

PS: I like the 500R and the Fractal

Of the cases you have narrowed it down to, you will be happy whichever one you choose !

For around £90, I personally would go for the Phantom 410, but it depends what you need and what style you like.

Corsair 500R.
There I said it. I'm not changing my mind either!

No reason for the white version to be £3 more though! Still worth it though.

Buy an APEX PC-389-C tower. With some tiresome and tedious cable management, my rig is quite clean. Best of all, the tower is $21 + shipping and tax (when I got it). The metals may be flimsy, but I honestly could care less because its not like i have heavy or super expensive things in there.

This order contains the following items;
Item: Corsair Carbide 500R White Case"

That's right, I shell out the extra £4 for it in white

shelling out some extra cash for the white version is a good choice, IMO as it looks better.

Congrats on the new case!

Good choice, really any mid tower case with a 30mm space for cables in the left panel of the case with the rubber edging and holes for cable management are usually good buys.

I'm hoping the hard drive racks are nicely erm... rubbered(?) so they remain silent too

My vote:

Antec P280 or if you're willing to spend a bit more the Corsair 650D. I've seen the Corsair Graphite/Carbide cases in person, they are not as good as the Obsidian cases hence the lower prices. The Antec 1100 is also a nice case, my cousin went with it for his upcoming Ivy Bridge build.

If money is an issue Antec P280/1100, if it's not, Corsair 650D.

It looks so RAD. I'm a bit worried about having the 200mm fan on the side, and getting a load of dust in it though

You can sacrifice that airflow for less dust. You still have plenty of fans in the front

I have a Rosewill Challenger and suggest it to everyone I know since it's one of the most well-designed budget cases I've dealt with. I've heard good things about the NZXT Source 210 too.

Okay I've installed my pc into the case
But there's no 3.25 drive bay adapter, so I can't get my SD card reader to work
I've searched the box but I can't find one anywhere

Check the bottom "CRITICISMS" (yikes *runs and hides*)

I appears as though this might be your first mod to do on the new case

You never mentioned in the OP that you will be using one ofthose readers. Get one 5.25 card reader instead.

I made the assumption it came with one! Quite annoyed about that! Corsair let me down

Would an adapter like this work with the tool-less installed bays in the 500R?
or would it just be cheaper to get a 5.25 inch card reader? the one I've got now does MS/SD/MMC/SM/CF/MD and an extra USB port
