I missed the original thread when it started.

Kreij wish you the best! I've never heard of post-op depression. I guess if you're on pain killers long enough, they don't help that part as much.

@ Sasqui : I never did either, but then I've only had simple surgeries ilke having bones pinned together and stuff. I guess when you have multiple surgeries and are on IV morphine things can change. (shrug)

@MW : Congratulation !!!! Nice shootin', Tex!

One a side note, I have no idea why I share all this info with you clowns ... but what the hell. Give us something new to talk about.

I was thinking about you the other day Dean. I have faith everything will go your way soon. I'm also wondering what would happen if we used the same antibiotic that cured your dick farts on Congress.

Take care, man. Thanks for the update!

I'm really curious . . . just what does a dick-fart feel like?

In any case, I hope things get better for you.

If I didn't intend for you to laugh I would not have posted it. I have no problem with people laughing about the weird crap that happens to me.

I honestly can't think of anything similar. I have to run to get drugs from the pharmacy so I'll think about it on the way there and back so as not to disappoint you with my analogy.

I can't wait to hear it, but should you really be running in your condition?

Damn man all of this stuff you're going through and you took a little of your time even in the midst of your recovery and depression to thank me for joining up as a cruncher on team TPU

You sir have a good heart and that will carry you far through your ordeal

I wish you the best in your recovery and while I'm not really religious or anything like that I feel that God only gives us challenges that he? knows we can handle.

On a lighter note- "dick farts" I hope I never know what those feel like...

Oh, hey ... I forgot to mention that when they did the Cystogram the nurse was unable to get the catheter past my prostrate, so she had to pull it out, get a different kind and shove it in again.
If you ever need to have this done they will tell you "it's a little uncomfortable".
The only two words in that statement that aren't an outright lie are "it's" and "a".

No, and I probably shouldn't be driving either as I tend to space out. lol
Luckily we just got about 4-5 inches of snow and no one's on the roads.
I've given up, tJ, there is no way to describe how it feels. No pain, just too weird for words.
I can tell you with great certainty that it if every happens to you, your first words will be "WTF WAS THAT !" .. and then your brain will deny it happened (until it happens again).

Well I got my mind-altering drugs which I will start taking tomorrow, so if I start posting strange stuff we can blame it on that for awhile (I'm not sure how any of you would be able to tell though. :/ )

Anyway, thanks for the support and well wishes guys (and gals). You keep me laughing and I really need that at the moment.
God bless you all.

I'm gonna spend all night on google trying to figure out how to make my dick fart.

edit: Nevermind; it seems to be related to having things shoved up it which does not sound like fun lol.

@Kreij-
Make sure you discussed initial dosing of whatever they gave you with your doctor AND the pharmacist.... on occassions regular doctors miss the point with antidepressant meds and don't prescribe or instruct patients in their usage fully. Sometimes it's best to use 1/2 dosages for a certain period as the med builds up in your body, etc while some others have a good initial reaction for you but wear off like falling off a cliff.

My wife has been on these types of meds for a very long time so I do have a little experience in their effects as well as discussing same with her docs and pharmacists so I'm not completely out in left field on this subject... unfortunately.

Bottom line- they will help but some work differently than others so discuss options if you feel they are not helping you.

My $0.02

Thanks for the updates K - you're a tough cookie if ever there was one. And have a wicked sense of humour to go with it. More: "dick fart"! The combination of all those rare issues is real sods law, isn't it?

I tell you what I think is impressive though: your mind is foggy because of the drugs and everything, yet, you've managed to make post after post of perfectly written text on here. That's really tough to do when you feel like this, so I feel it's a great achievement and a testament to your toughness and determination to take on whatever life chucks at you and not let it beat you.

May you beat this cancer in time. In the meantime, more Skyrim!

Completely agreed. "You're going to feel a pinch." Expression immediately thereafter:

Been there too. Whenever they raid your bladder, they pump in a ton of water which apparently includes pockets of air. So yeah, when those pockets of air come out, you could describe it like that.

I think that "dick fart" is a good way to put it, actually. I mean, it quite accurately describes the phenomenon, I suppose. Okay, I have to admit it is not likely to be in the dictionaries, but who cares about that.

And I guess it has taken quite some courage to write about all that stuff here. It's a good thing thing that you keep us updated.

Good luck with the chemo and everything else.

Don't worry about it. It's minor and if they see it, they'll just have to put up with it. XD
