New Forum Rep

Hello TPU users!

My name is Jason, and I'm the new NZXT Forum Rep. Don't worry, Retell isn't going anywhere. Perhaps back into his cage to do some more work, but he'll still be around.

Anyway, if you guys have questions or concerns, I just wanted to let you know that I'm indeed here and willing to assist you. Bare with me, I am still a newbie to the job, but so far I seem to be quite successful.

A little background: I'm a case modder and water cooler. I'm a gamer as well (mostly FPS, I'll melt your face in BF3!) I'm not some schmuck they found in the want ads to do customer service, so I know the feedback is crucial not just for NZXT's products, but for the industry as well. I have been a part of the community abroad for about 5 years now, and have done several builds, from aircooling, to all-in-one WC units, to full custom loops.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and just let me know if you need anything.
-Jason

No one gets free anything, except free ass-kickings in BF3, courtesy of ME!

Just signed up for a BF3 platoon here. So far this forum is awesome! Love the humor here.

System Specs added. We'll see, I'm sure Mailman is good... but is he willing to deliver a box of C4 cookies to the enemy and blow himself up with them?

Orange Case Fans? Well, next you'll want blue powersupplies and seafoam Phantoms!

I recently built a customers machine in one of your cases. The Source 210 Black. Made one heck of a NAS box, that's for sure.

Welcome to our little corner of insanity Jason. It's always nice to have reps lurking about.
If you ever need anything, just PM any of us mods and we'll gladly help you out.

I bought an NZXT case from someone here on TPU. It was awesome.
Sadly before I had a chance to get it home the day I got it, a guy at work offered me twice what I paid for it. So I took the money and bought more beer.

If NZXT is willing to pony up some freebies, make sure you have a contest so all these suckers wonderful members have to work for their prizes.

Welcome Jason, as everyone has stated!! :-)

I used to purchase NZXT all the time until I picked up the original Tempest case. Is a great case, however the frigging hard drive cages are just awful! Sorry but that case was one of the worst I have ever put together due to that fact. Have kind of gotten away from NZXT cases since that occurrence to be honest.

Would love to work in another NZXT case, and may soon due to review options on another site. I sure hope I can have a much better experience than the original Tempest.

None the less, a huge welcome to the very best site on the net!!!!!! And humor, yea it runs pretty thick in this outfit LOLOL.

A HUGE Thank you to everyone for the welcome! It's nice to come into a forum and already have so many people be open to you, so it's a big relief and really takes weight off my shoulders.

I understand where some of you are coming from on the issues you've had with some of your NZXT products. In the past, my feeling is, they weren't of the highest quality. However, I think within the last year NZXT has stepped up, they show that they care, they listen to the community, and they're making a GINORMOUS effort to ensure that future products have much better design.

Which tempest did you have? the 210 or 410? I have the 410 and I must say the new toolless HDD bays are nice! Also the design quality of the front panel is nice as well letting you remove the fans from the front with just a simple clip together design.

Sorry buddy, been busy with this build. Such a headache, but I finally got everything sorted. Several leaks, SSD freezing/hanging, and other little problems have chewed up a lot of my time the last week. It's all good now though!

Btw, if you buy those Koolance fan screws for radiators (the ones with the thumb bolts for easy mounting), they don't work on Swiftech rads, the holes are too small. Don't try to drill them out, either, as you will drive right into the fins of your radiator, like I did.

Bought a new rad and we're up and running, lol.
