I really don't think I need more than 500W

are you planning to video edit and encoding? If I were you I would get a 650 corsair or a good branded one. 500w is good but I suggest 650w to be on the safe side.

500W should be good, but you will be pulling at max power around 410-450W. unless you ever go CFX

if you do not intend to overclock that mainboard/chipset is overkill
it may make more sense to go with a mid-range P67 based board rather than the expensive Z68
one you have picked

take the ssd out of the list first and upgrade the graphic card. your system will be more powerful. do not plan to overclock and stick with the z68 or p67 is a wrong decision. go with h67 or h61, or cheaper z68 or p67 if u want to overclock in the near future. my z68 mobo now is as low as $75 on ebay and its very good. if u want a SSD and better graphic card, lower the mobo. just spend about $20 more and get the 650w psu for spare power for your pc.

about the same price but more powerful, just do not load window as fast as that ssd

Yes I also suggest upping to PSU. Atleast a 650 watt unit.

True, but maybe he wants the z68's features.

Naww that power supply is fine.. You're not overclocking.. I don't know what everyone is talking about.. I have that exact same powersupply on one of my 2500k's @ 4.7GHz, 8ghz of ram, 2x 500gb in raid1, and 2x 1tb in raid1, with a GTX570 Crunching and folding 100% none stop for over a year now 24/7. I had a GTX470 in it for most of the year.. the GTX570 has only been in it for around 3months. I would suggest getting a 2500k only because for the price it would be crazy not to.. and it's easy as hell to get to 4.5GHz - 4.7Ghz... I've got 2x 2500k's

EDIT: That PSU has a single 12v rail... they are probably thinking of a multi rail 500 watt PSU and in that case I wouldn't get a multi rail..
