I hope the cooler isn't just a piece of aluminium or this is the worst cooler on a 7850.

Quite generous from HIS to include extruded aluminium cooler. I thought HD7850 was a mobile GPU. :laugh : Look mom, it has tiny fan too.
Last few years HIS constantly proves , that every design no-matter how cheap it is, can be made even more cost effective.
