HTPC with a6 llano in hybrid cossfire with sapphire 6670. First time New Build

Hi everyone.

I am in the process of buying new parts for a HTPC but wanted some advice before getting the parts for my first ever build. i already have a sapphire low profile 6670 in my very old dell c521 good for old games but not for new like fifa 12.

ive been looking at the a6 processer for my new build and was wondering if it will hybrid crossfire with my 6670? im on a budget n dont want to fork out on a new graphics card. the parts i may get are as follows:

.AMD Llano A6 A3500 2.1GHz Socket FM1 3MB L2 Cache Retail Boxed Processor
.Gigabyte GA-A55M-S2V AMD A75 FM1 7.1 Channel HD Audio mATX Motherboard
.Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu Memory Kit
.Antec NSK 2480 MATX Desktop Case With 380W EarthWatts PSU

would these parts work together, would the PSU have enough juice ive read that its a good one.

i would appreciate any feed back from yourselves thx

You may want to look at some ram that is specc'd for 1866, due to planning on hybrid-fire. Yes it will work & from what I can see everything else looks good.

Looks solid, also, you may not need to buy higher specced ram if you can clock it a bit higher. I dont know if thats possible on your motherboard/platform though.

May be older 1.5gbps SATA drives but they would work.

Wont consider the A8? or is it out of your price range?

Because there is a decent FPS (7-10 FPS) increase going from the A6 to the A8 llano APU's once you do hybrid CF with a 6570-6670.

Just a thought, the A6 will work fine but if you have the budget I don't think you would be disappointed

good luck!

Should be near the same budget BUT allow some fun overclocking(pickup a new cpu cooler when you can afford it beforehand). Enjoy!

The APU platform does quite well for cheap, decent GPU/CPU performance all in one.

However, I do not know what the performance is like with the hybrid Xfire setup. When you get it together, throw out some benchmarks.

Roughly a 9600GSO/9600GT/HD3870 at half the power.

It's decent for some 720p gaming on medium details.

Dude I really would spec a better quality PSU than the one that comes with that case, the one that JrRacinFan suggested would be perfect if you can stretch to the extra cost

If you had a stronger gpu, the build would be moot and I myself personally would go with the H61 build.

I think it's more of a matter of what the OP does more of, casual gaming or multitasking.
