Simple review on GT440 with GDDR5 Memory !
NVIDIA launched GT440 in February, but it is just GF108 core not OEM's GF106 core.
That means it is a overclocked GT430, so some GT440 come with GDDR5 memory to increase the distance between GT430 and GT440. This time I brings you a ColaMax GT440 512MB GDDR5 below ! Front of the card ![]() HDMI、D-Sub、DVI ![]() The PCB ![]() 2+1 Phase PWM ![]() GF108-300-A1 Core ![]() Hynix H5GQ1H24AFR T2C GDDR5 Memory Chips ![]() The heatsink ![]() Full aluminum ![]() Go test ! ![]() I have done some simple test with AMD low-end dual core system, The platform : AMD AthlonII x2 245 Biostar TA785G3 HD 2x 2GB DDRIII 1333 3DMark06 , 8842 ![]() 3DMark Vantage , P4692 ![]() Final Fantasy XIV , 1995 ![]() Heaven v2.1 , 18.5fps 466 ![]() Street Fighter IV , 9915 59.6fps ![]() Furmark fullload 30min , 68C ![]() With GDDR5 memory, GT440 is indeed a lot stronger than GT430, but this card is only priced around USD76. So,it is naturally became the most cost-effective NVIDIA 128BIT GDDR5 graphics card, but its preformance still could not compare with 5670.... Fortunately, there are great NVIDIA 3D theatre experience and CUDA support.... |

Nice concise review. Good job.
However there are better options at the same price. |
