I highly doubt Nexon could afford EA.

No, EA is way too big honestly. Nexon could be sublimated into EA easily

Merger, maybe, but the FTC should deny the request.

I am finding it hard to believe myself but I won't be surprised as I used to be one of those F2P MMO hunters and Nexon obviously ruled that realm of gaming and it is also where all the chinese, korean, filipino, viet etc. find their gaming needs which imo is bigger than any western gaming populace.

EA has demonstrated that they will do whatever financially benefits their investors and upper level management.

Being bought out will be a huge boon for EA's finances.

Conclusion: This is a very possible situation. Nexon is a Korean company, based out of Japan. They'll have Asia, and the Americas covered. The real question is why should I care? EA's structure will allow Nexon to attack American markets, but they have enough brains not to change profitable business models over night.

At worst this is a problem for two years from now, when EA's current game development is completed, and something actually developed with Nexon at the helm hits the markets. At best some of the Korean's ethics (never thought I'd say that) will infiltrate EA. Maybe Origin might even not suck....maybe..?

The only thing that could make EA worse is if the makers of FarmVille and Zynga bought it. lol

Nexon should pull an EA and buy EA, then kill it off.
