AMD Catalyst 12.5 Beta Leaked

Just days after the monthly release of AMD Catalyst, Catalyst 12.4 WHQL, a beta built (version 8.97) of the driver, included in Catalyst 12.5 Beta, has been leaked to the web. This build updates both the display driver and Catalyst Control Center. There is no word on exactly what the new version brings to the table, and it's a very early version in the build up to Catalyst 12.5 WHQL slated for late May, so tread with extreme caution.

I've been using these for a few days. No complaints using a single 7970.

I'll have to try these. With 12.3 preview i had random laggy browser scrolling when HW acceleration was enabled. With Cat 12.4 WHQL i get horrible Aero Glass lagging every time i exit a game that i played with MLAA enabled. I just don't understand what's going on. I hope 12.5 doesn't have any of the issues.

They work pretty well actually. They re-arranged the FSAA settings a bit but other than that, no visual changes. Killing Floor worked well with it and i don't get any laggy Aero after using MLAA in the games. Gonna keep these.

Yeah, and 12.3 works fine for me. I'm not even going to touch 12.4 yet. Now there's 12.5 beta? uh, no thanks, I'll wait.

SO many issues with Eyefinity itself, now that things are working reasonably well ,I;m not too interested in changing things.

My friend was able to get these installed (with errors) and it still doesn't solve the flash downclocking or the monitor sleep issue. If 680s were available he'd jump ship now, but they aren't. This generation of cards sucks ass so far. One is a never ending headache and the other is vaporware.

With many people not having problems and enjoying stability, perhaps it's time to look at something besides the drivers causing issues?

I heard that three cards and Eyefinity makes all games crash, and that a fix might come out as soon as 12.5, which is why I was asking.

12.3 works for you in games with three cards and Eyefinity?

My 7950 drivers were an utter nightmare when they first came out. First, my 5850 crossfire drivers weren't deleted completely, which made me go for a new reformat of Windows. Tried 12.2, a mess and stayed with RC11 for a bit. Finally moved over to 12.3 WHQL with latest Profile download, now I can play pretty much any game max settings. My BF3 with FXAA enabled I can achieve FPS beyond my wildest dreams with color correction, let me stop myself ....I am getting off topic

Idk where you've been looking but many people have had these issues, and only a few have found a way around them, and none of those fixes worked for everyone, but the problems remain consistent.

I think this driver finally resolved the system hang-up I had with 12.3 and 12.4 when watching internet flash video (1x5870 + 1x3 eyefinity).
