Reference NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Graphics Card Pictured

Here is the first picture of an NVIDIA reference design GeForce GTX 670. For the most part, its design will resemble that of reference design GTX 680. The card pictured below is said to have had Leadtek branding, which later got removed. GeForce GTX 670 is carved out of 28 nm GK104 silicon by disabling one of the card's eight SMX units, resulting in a CUDA core count of 1344. Its clock speeds are lower than those of the GTX 680, with around 950 MHz core base clock, and core boost clock a little over 1 GHz. It features 2 GB of memory across a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. The latest price speculation puts it at US $399-$429.

300 EUR price. I could shuffle that kind of money for it. The thing is, it will not cost this much in my country unfortunately. Also, americans have a tendancy to post prices without tax.
Just too expensive

Considering gtx 580 was $500 and gtx 570 was $350 the price is too high.

400$ will make this thing compete against the HD7950 like GTX680 is competing against the HD7970 (10% more expensive, about 8% faster)

Woohoo for Nvidia bringing out a card that is even less fast then what was already meant to be the low end of the high end grade cards.
Woohoo for price fixing.

That's going to be the challege for nVidia...let's see if the 670 can live up to the 7950 in terms of performance...i was thinkin the 670 would be on par with the 7870

The difference in performance between HD7870 and HD7950 isn't bigger then 10% so... we'll see.

I see this card being exactly equivalent to that of the 7950.

Maybe with this SKU there will be more 6xx boards available since they can use slightly damaged chips now?

I just don't understand why these cards are so expensive. The previous 3 generation high end cards from amd and Nvidia were half the price almost!

£300 for the high end and I would buy one, not a chance with current prices

I'm hoping Nvidia prices this well enough and it is strong enough to force another AMD price slash. Will be interesting to see how GK104 scales with being cut down.

I think the same.....i don't know why people justify its price because it will be comparable to gtx 580 perf, i mean of course if you compare to older gen it will look "fair", but the gtx 580 costs like 3 times to build.
