Oh I know uGrids will work, but my LOD distance is so low it's unreal. I have a Whiterun texture pack and the only way I can see the city skinned while being outside the city is to get like really right next to the wall, then the skinned roofs pop in. In-game yardage I would have to say I need to be about 500 yards away from the wall. Even with default uGrids, 500 yards isn't much. And it's only when being outside the city, If I enter Whiterun I can see the skinned keep from the entrance, and that distance is far greater than 500 yards.

I probably won't tinker too much with uGrids, I'm running so many War type mods that spawn so many extra enemies, I dnon't know how thats all going to run yet, once I hit some of those encounters and deem it playable, then maybe I will up uGrids. Either way, I'm pretty sure that LOD distances can be pushed farther than they come within the confines of the normal uGrids, I mean hell normal uGrids can push grass distances to like 14k, so I shouldn't be having issues with seeing an LOD at a distance of 1k.

be careful with ugrids screw ya saved games up and better testing them too and mine did not start going wrong till days later ( started to crash when game was using 2GB of ram ).

How about a pic to show as i thought view distance was ok. Only real problem i seen with distance is no grass and yes i have tried adding more from guides but don't seem to be enough :P..

When i had issue's with ugrids was where was a hell load of trees as i use ini setting that increases the amount of trees and all so using a mod that increases the trees around towns and stuff too.

If I focus solely on the glass, I can get an idea what you did then..Well in that case, it's a job well done imo. The glass looks great.
I'd say it looks crisper/more reflective and I like the color tint more, as well. Looks glassier and a bit more transparent, if my eyes don't fool me..

Oh yeah I know about uGrids, but you can convert with console commands as long as you can get back into your game.

Yeah I only changed the glass, the rest of the texture is from Joshawow, it's why I credited him and had to contact him and ask permission to upload.

everyone get this mod. its great! I just got it. Not much of a performance hit, and gives interiors a much more immersive real feel. I don't think theres any dynamic shadows outside because Bethesda messed it all up with 1.5 according to the dev of this mod.

That sounds good, wish he had some before and after screens, but the screen caps do look nice. I'll have to ditch the shadow striping fix and get this.

Skyrim Mods "The best of the best"

Is it ok, if I propose, we make a thread, for this?
I went looking at nexus mods and it's pretty overwhelming. There are tons of things I could get.

I have found, the best way, to find out, what really works and what really feels natural, is to get them myself and test them.
There's to many for me, to do that. I just don't have the time, working 6-7 days a week.

So I'd like to ask. What mods are indispensable to you and why?
What are the most stable and polished mods, you have seen?

Thank you.

SkyUI, since it was released over a year ago its been the one mod I find it hard to play the game without, it really makes play easier.

The menu system in skyrim by all means isn't bad but you waste alot of time using it, and SkyUI just does it genuinely better.

heres one of my screenshots. Its not a comparison, but those shadows on the wall and cieling are dynamic.

How could it be released over a year ago?

Is there a mod for hardcore mode?

If by Hardcore mode you mean the one from New Vegas, with hunger an such, then try this. (steam workshop)

No idea on adding weight to ammunition (arrows), though.

Isn't that what the rating system that both Nexus mods and Steam workshop are for? Otherwise you can also click on most popular. Then it also comes down to preference. I have over a 100 mods in use at the moment, with another 100 installed but not loaded.

I would also recommend these:

A Quality World Map
XCE Xenius Character Enhancement
Sexy Villages And Towns
Beautiful Whiterun
Skyrim Flora Overhaul
TreesHD Skyrim Variation
Lush Trees
Lush Grass
W.A.T.E.R.

There are of course tons of others that are good but these are a few I like. XCE is definitely one that you should get. It makes all body textures hi res. (forgot exactly what resolution) And it has no more blocky faces in it.

Does 16AF not work in Skyrim? In various graphical configs I've seen around for ini settings and ENB 8x is the cap, and I saw before and after pics showing no improvement between 16 and 8. I just find it hard to believe it really doesn't work at all, rather than just in hard to spot places.

Also is there an updated one of these floating around anywhere for the latest beta drivers/game patch?

Well, all I can say is that the latest Nvidia Inspector is 1.9.6.5.

And its Antialiasing - Behavior Flags is now the same as BF3, and some other games.
