Dirt 3
Hey guys!
I just got a coupon for Dirt 3. I've installed the game via steam fine. first I can't sign in with live, it doesn't work ( I tried like all I found on the internet). My firewall is disabled, and uPnP is enable. All my other games works, and my live id exist.. This piss me off a bit.. Also, I tried running benchmark.. Okay runs, but I get no score or anything at the end... Anyone already had these issues? Thanks

What router/cable modem/etc are you using? Have you tried using DMZ mode on your PC's internal IP? I say this because some ISP's hardware will allow port forwarding and DMZ mode to only one internal IP for some stupid reason. I've seen it happen before.
If that is all fine, I suggest you uninstal GFWL through the control panel, then download and install it manually from here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/downloadclient |

I have an Linksys/Cisco RV042, and a Linksys WRT160N (I'm connected via Wifi). The WRT160n has the SPI firewall disable, I tried in case opening port, but it act like an access point. The RV042 has firewall open for the port I said on top, I tried also the DMZ with no success :/
I have Videotron as ISP, all my other games runs perfectly at least lol.I'll try uninstalling ,clear the registry, and reinstall it. Thanks |

I bet its live-in assistant that's causing the trouble, MS updated it in latest gfwl.
If you're using MSN live, first uninstall it >> reboot?>> then install GFWL >> now reinstall MSN again. This is how i got it fixed after that new update.

Have you disabled the firewall in windows and not just the router?
Whatever firewall you are using besides the router firewall may be giving you problems. I had to add the GFWLclient.exe to my firewall exceptions and delete the temporary internet files to change my NAT to open so I had no problems joining friends online. BTW whatever you added to the router to get windows live to work, delete. I do not have any settings in my router associated with GFWL. |

Well, I tried to add the exceptionin the firewall, which was already disabled, just in case, no go. I added Dirt 3 exe and GFWL. I am about to try just to make sure a long network game directly to my computer, but I doubt this will work hehe, but I gotta give a try (I just need a 10m cable, taking from work
).

Okay well, I tried without my router, directly to the modem, it works..
Now I have done this cause uPNP doesn'T seems to works with that shit: http://portforward.com/english/route...x_Live_360.htm still doesn'T work.. it is really annoying, I will contact the support for GFWL , cause their software is really just crap.. |
