I am still scratching my head as to why my one and only post was wrong. My account is banned as well. It was called spam by the moderator. All I did on my first ever post was thank the OP for his contribution that helped me get my graphic cards in SLI. The OP also had asked that people post their results with their boards. That's all I typed about in my post. What did I do wrong? Did I use the wrong wording? I don't get it...

I have replied to your PM and your account is back in good standing. It had nothing to do with your post. Please use that account and do not create any more accounts.

Thank you.

You probably got flagged by the anti-spam system. This happens occasionally. Send a PM to a mod.

Erocker, thank you for taking care of things.

Maban, The problem was I had a link to my website under my profile.

Ok then my suggestion:

I has no clue what I had done. So how about the moderators just add something about the actual issue in the infraction notice. Like if it mentioned the problem was with my profile then I wouldn't have freaked out and could have easily corrected it. I was dumb founded why my post was so bad but that was not even the issue.

In the end, the mods just are doing their job so now I have nothing to complain about

And now I will enjoy my nice cold beer

you were actually given the reason in the infraction itself.

Wow, you've certainly had a baptism of fire, haven't you?! That's some intro to a new forum, isn't it? Anyway, glad it's sorted and don't let it put you off. Welcome to TPU, it's a great forum.

This is for members with issues, not to vent on behalf of your friends. Also since you didn't see the report, how do you know why anyone was infracted?

Only if you use it maliciously. I've used it once or twice in genuine error and our mods were totally cool with it.

I am not venting just sharing my thoughts. the title DOES say "Whats wrong with our forum moderator staff"

And if said member has an issue, he can vent, he doesn't need to hide behind anyone, and my actions are scrutinized by those above me. There is a system in place, and he took it to the next level to find out if my actions are in fact justified.

My point is if he was that mad about it, he would be here, not you who are just posting and you only have one side of the story.

I don't see why reporting posts should be invulnerable to infractions... Say I started to spam it on one person I don't like and waste the time of the mods, I'd probably expect to get infracted

If your friend doesn't agree with an infraction, the easiest thing to do is to PM the person who gave it to you, then if you feel the mod is in the wrong Senior mods etc. Sometimes misunderstandings happen

At the end of the day, its all about simple communication, if any member disagrees with any action I have taken it's their right, they are part of the community the same as I am, in those instances where something I have done is questioned, whether it be an infraction, a closed thread or maybe just some deleted posts I do try and scruitinise my own actions, if I beleive the action was appropriate I always encourage said member to contact a Supermod who can look at the isses with perhaps a less biased view......... we all just need to remember sometimes that none of us are always right and quite often actions are taken that are justified even if some think the opposite!

Unless someone is purposely and deliberately being hateful/spiteful and causing issues due to those things I will generally just PM the person before giving something like an infraction. I find it tends to work better to show others respect, even if they are in the wrong. Most of the time people appreciate that, and for the times that they don't, there is a system in place that I will use if need be.

Tatty in his old age and wisdom , has said it quite well.

Ok.. I can't say "I think you guys do a good job" Without someone deleting my post?
I try to be nice and leave a compliment but you delete it?
Thanks for arbitrarily deleting my posts, really appreciate that..

I'd understand it if this thread didn't have a ton of compliments or if there was a rule not to post compliments. But I looked at the main post and it doesn't say I can't post a compliment...

Maybe you thought I was being sarcastic,? I really wasn't.
Just trying to ease a little tension, in what is otherwise a tense thread and show some appreciation..

I think for the most part, the devs here do a fine job..
Have a nice 4th all.

EDIT: Thanks E, rain comin your way.
