So I think my modding is finally done now. Comparing texture folders with some friends that have talked about having so many texture packs and doubting I have more (the one that said that had 4.59gb). After it's all said and done my folder is up to 7.8gb, I really don't think theres many texture left un-touched, hopefully 3gb of vram is enough

Seems good, I haven't got a ton of play time yet. I been mostly tweaking to perfection, got my final mod today I believe and swapped to a few different texture mods that I had been pondering. But Now with WiS, Warzones, Occupy Skyrim, SkyTEST, and Deadly Dragons, the world really feels alive, and deadly. I highly suggest SkyTEST to anyone out there, animals no longer being banded on a faction that only attacks players is nice. I'm watching sabercats chasing deer, wolves fighting mud crabs, it's amazing. Of course I usually get a little to close then they do attack me, but it's great. I always felt the wildlife in the game was lacking, that mod alone added a huge immersion factor, not really looking to get loot off those things, but they just didn't feel real before.

Didn't work, tried it, shadows went all crazy and looked like shit.

I still don't plan to play a lot till my weekend comes up from work, and by then the new RCRN should be out and it looks like it has dynamic shadows, so hopefully that will actually work.

thats because your using RCRN lol. RCRN 3.0 doesnt have dynamic shadows. it has dynamic interiors that are lit according to the time of day. I personally strongly dislike RCRN and prefer ENB + Dynamic Shadows for my light/color mod.

Don't think RCRN has anything to do with dynamic lighting mod not working, it says it replaced the stripping fix, and the stripping fix works just fine for me. I know you like ENB, but personally I'm not a huge fan of them, I like the way RCRN looks the most out there, and I have looked through most if not all the other lighting mods. And RCRN 3.0 looks even better, I'm just hoping it comes out on the day they are estimating.

were you running the striping fix and the dynamic shadows thing together? The striping fix jsut makes it so theres no zebra stripes anymore. while the dynamic shadows one makes every light cast shadows/adds shadows while also fixing the shadow striping, so you dont need the stand alone shadow striping fix.

Nope, only ran one at a time since I knew they conflicted. Still didn't work.

Confused. When doing texture packs on top of the hd dlc I've seen some stuff saying to do some ini tweak and others just saying to capitalize the "t" on the texture folder.

There shouldn't be any issue with texture packs and the HD DLC anymore. You should be able to drop the textures in the texture folder and be just fine.

Skyrim Blocky shadows fix

I just found out about it today. It was making me crazy how horrible shadows were for me.
I'm going to post my ini's if anyone wants to use them.
These go in your: Mydocuments/Mygames/Skyrim
folder.
Launch the game with the application named TESV.
That launcher is in the main Skyrim directory, (program filesx86) etc etc "Skyrim"..

Idk if that helped but that's what I have seen around, when looking for a fix.
This was very touchy for me. It took a lot of playing around with things, even after I knew what to do, to get this to work.

My settings are ultra settings. Just change whatever you want to change in game settings, if they are to high for you.

The changes to that ini also fix the sun updating the shadows, in a flickering manner.
It also enables some more static objects, like trees to cast shadows.

Sorry lol.. Idk why but it was giving me hell uploading a rar or even a zip file.. I must of been doing something weird.
I'll show you what I mean. This is exactly what mine looked like, even at ultra settings until I did this.

Updated OP with files.

There is also a perf file located in the main skyrim directory in the Skyrim/Skyrim
Directory.. I changed my shadow res in there to 4096 as well but nothing I saw told me too. I just thought it couldn't hurt.
Just fyi..

Been tinkering more with CK lately and testing some ideas. Tonight I'm going to start a melee skill tree revamp. I'm also probably going to make the one hander tree double perks (meaning every point you put in will also buff unarmed combat as well. I know theres a few mods out there that already work on unarmed skills, but most I have seen replace an entire tree, so two hander tree is replaced with unarmed.

dude this is such old news. my shadow settings used to be this
iBlurDeferredShadowMask=5
fInteriorShadowDistance=2500.0000
fShadowDistance=4000.0000
iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096
iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=8192

And they looked PERFECT. The lower the shadow distance the better the shadows look.

Now my shadows are this
iBlurDeferredShadowMask=5
fInteriorShadowDistance=2500.0000
fShadowDistance=8000.0000
iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096
iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=8192

because I now use the new ENB version .110 that has a new shadow shader called Per Pixel Shadows and so you dont need to mess with skyrim inis because this shader in the ENB is a lot better and adds a bit more shadows where they should be. especially on characters

You will have those blocky shadows till you edit the ini. Everyone has had them till they read the nvidia skyrim tweak guide that fixed them. Skyrim Shadows are rendered on the CPU thats while they look like shit.

My skyrim ultra++ fire giant battle

Here's the 680 gtx on ultra++ settings, has all the prettiest mods I could find, for texture and graphical enhancement, as well as the Giant Giants and Mammoths modification.
I'm only lv 15 fighting this thing, on Expert mode, it was rough..lol.. One hit will kill me.
1080p and 50 fps in fraps capped.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Gd0vwl-e8s

PS: I ENB as well but I still had blocky shaders.
